Wear it and they will come was the motto for the men’s baseball and women’s softball teams who wore tailor-made replicas of Queensborough’s 1973 baseball and softball jerseys and caps for the nostalgic Throwback Game on April 10, 2010 at Cardozo High School, across from the Queensborough campus on Springfield Boulevard. Faculty, staff and administrators as well as students and alumni watched the QCC Tigers and Lady Tigers suit up for one day in the uniforms of the 1973 QCC Burros. The Game-Worn Throwback jerseys and caps were auctioned off to support Queensborough’s student scholarships!
