In this episode, we discuss the idea that has been floating around of giving £500 to people with COVID-positive results so they don't have to feel like they need to go to work and infect others. Is that a good idea or would it encourage people to get COVID-19?
We also delve into Pixar movies and how the cruel weather tempted people to go out despite the lockdown to prevent the new variant of the coronavirus from spreading.

In this episode, we have a field day debunking a quote on quote 'paper' that claims face-masks aren't useful at stopping the spread of COVID-19, by neurologists Colleen Huber Dr. Jeffery Taubenberger, and Dr. David Morens.
Nothing more scientific than claiming something, listing sources that completely contradict your conclusions, the occasional article talking about Socialism, and including Dr. Fauci because of clout.
We also talk about the dangers of platforms like Google Scholar, which allow pre-prints (papers that are not peer-reviewed) to have a DOI number, which means they are citable. These can lead to a string of misinformation that has a wide reach.

In this opening episode for the second season of the Quarantine Quality Podcast, we debunk recent, nonsensical anti-mask comments about the effectiveness of facemasks and talk about compassion fatigue and apathy towards those who ignore guidance to stop the COVID spread.
We also talk about the need for some people to feel like the heroes in a world where we put a lot of focus on a single person who avoided or bettered a disaster.
We try to keep it lighthearted, so we hope you enjoy it!
