A farewell note to a couple of wonderful Ladies and a favorite poem
"It's Almost Fall".
Without the use of Chat-box R.P. gets a few thoughts corralled for a new

while being given a ride home from a cowboy job and memorable

This morning R.P. is working his way back from the Cache Valley Music
and Poetry Festival in Logan Utah, and thought he would share one that
he practiced out west "The Ranchers Wife".
In the past month and a half R.P. has attended 4 cowboy poetry
gatherings, and was reminded of the wealth of cowboy poetry passed on by
our predecessors, this morning he shares a Classic poem from Bruce
Kiskaddon "The Broncho Twister's Prayer"
This week R.P. gets a little help with chores before heading to the Lone
Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Alpine Texas, his son Caleb joins him on
Homegrown to share a new song that he has titled "Between the Ivory and
the Iron'.
