It’s the sustainable wedding episode 🙌 . It’s quite a short one. But we have a lot to say.
Next week (as this airs) we are launching Recycle My Wedding. A platform that enables you to buy and sell pre-loved wedding items. From outfits to accessories and decor there is something for everyone on Recycle. We will be donating 10%of every listing fee on Recycle My Wedding to Trees For Life. It feels good to give back doesn't it? And it really does make a difference to the environment.
It's difficult to have integrity as a brand when we know that weddings are a huge contributor to CO2 emissions. Recycle is our way of trying to change this and offset as many weddings as we can.
Want some figures?
We know you like facts.
An average UK wedding can create as much as 14.5 tonnes of C02 gas. With 250K weddings in the UK a year that is 3,625,000 tonnes of C02 gas being emitted per annum. That’s more than you could imagine isn’t it? And we want to do something about it. Hence Recycle My Wedding. For 1000 dresses sold via Recycle we would be able to plant 166 trees which would in turn offset a further 27.6 tonnes of C02 emissions. And it helps you have the sustainable wedding of your dreams.
Check out Recycle here and get involved!

It’s a tasty one! Becky caught up with Jonathan Carter-Morris, co-founder of Caviar & Chips, over zoom for a chat about wedding catering. How do you book catering? How do you choose the right caterer? Where do you start when deciding on your menu?
They talked about how catering works at dry hire venues as well as all other types of venues. There was talk of wine, canapés and Caviar & Chips' gin piano. Yep, that's a thing!
They went from having over 100 weddings booked in 2020 to doing just 3 due to Covid-19 so you can learn about how they have had to adapt and how much they're looking forward to 2021.
If you want to chat with the team at Caviar&Chips you can check out their website here or follow them over on Instagram to see what they get up to.

Should you have a wedding film? We think yes. Yep. Yup. Absolutely. Most definitely. Yes. There are tonnes of perks to having a wedding videographer. Photos are great and we love 'em. But there's something about motion. Capturing the way you moved, the way you laughed, how your dress floated about the venue as the sun shone through the window, the words of the speeches and the exchanging of vows. Memories to last a life time. And it's not really about whether you think you'll watch it every month or even every anniversary. It's having the choice to watch it.
Charlotte and Becky chat about their own wedding films, or lack thereof in Becky's case and bring in RMW The Podcast producer and film maker extraordinaire Simon Clarke of We Are The Clarkes to answer all your questions from what you can expect from a wedding film to how to film it yourself if you just cant find the budget to get a professional in. Learn all about the process from Simon and get some amazing tips to make sure you have the best wedding video you can.
