Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 49 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject! A while back, we realised we missed watching one of the genre’s all time greats work, so we dug up another Robert Donavan classic: 2001’s Private Call, aka Deviant Desires! Donavan plays Max Diamond, the by-the-books partner to Detective Shane Miller (Miyoko Fujimori, aka Flower), a cop who just can’t let the murder of a sex worker named Jennifer go, and gets suspended for it. But even then she continues investigating, going undercover at a mysterious club named Private Call! It’s an all-star affair: the prolific Brad Bartram is there too, it’s directed by legendary hardcore star/producer/director Melissa Monet, and it’s written by The Power Couple of ‘90s and 2000s softcore, Ed Gorsuch and April White! But does it live up to the hype? Plus, we talk about the life and career of the great Miyoko Fujimori! She’s done it all: real estate agent, stripper, model actor, author, sex toy designer, pole fitness and AcroYoga instructor, and intimacy choreographer! Also, with a little luck, future guest on an episode of Get Soft! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 246-4669! Check out the other Compañeros Radio Network shows: Movie Melt Songs on Trial

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 48 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject! We’re spaceward bound this episode, checking out Norman J. Warren’s 1979 interstellar softcore comedy Spaced Out! It’s wildly British (written by the guy who went on to create Pie in the Sky, in which Richard Griffiths was a semi-retired copper who also ran a restaurant - classic stuff) though stars an Australian, a Canadian, and a Hungarian as three goofy aliens, who have sequins for eyebrows. Bonus: one of them is the unforgettable Glory Annen, from Felicity! And as is befitting a saucy British comedy of the time, it’s packed with innuendo, has a pretty fair smattering of sexism, but also maybe rejects this and heroises the sensitive, emotionally intelligent lad instead? We try to puzzle that one out. Plus, we talk about the life and times of the one and only Dr Ava Cadell, who plays alien engineer Partha! She was a refugee of the Hungarian revolution before she was even two years old, and then almost became a nun. But, of course, she didn’t - she became a successful model and actor, and a world renowned Sexologist! Now she runs online sex coach training school Loveology University - good ol’ Love U’! Ava, if you’re reading this, you gotta make letterman jackets. You’ll sell thousands! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 246-4669! Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 47 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject! It’s time for our next big project, and this time we’re heading to the world of late ‘90s softcore TV, with James Dudelson’s Hot Springs Hotel, and we check out the first three episodes: Money Trouble, Cheerleaders, and Travels with Travis. It’s the story of two siblings, Randy and Kat, living in a flat - all by themselves. Then one day they get a telegram, which tells them that their Aunt Betty had passed away, and they they should come and run her hotel. Her Hot Springs Hotel. Hot Springs Hotel. Once you hear the theme song, you’ll never be able to get it out of your head. Sorry about that. Plus, we talk about the life and times of its star, the great Samantha Phillips: actor, model, radio talk show host, reality TV host, and film producer! She was in Phantasm II and said she didn’t really get it at the time (understandable, honestly) and also did music videos for everyone from Van Halen and Mötley Crüe to Simply Red and Weird Al! Also: literally has not aged in 25 years. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 246-4669! Check out the other Compañeros Radio Network shows: Movie Melt Songs on Trial
