Description
Hey humans!
Welcome to Rambling With Purpose. We’re here to create a safe and expansive environment for collaborative and open conversation on mental health, the every day mind games and struggles we all go through. We hope that by sharing this with you someone can find truth and further understanding in their own self journey. To be clear, we’re not professionals, we’re just two friends trying to do better for ourselves. We will absolutely get off topic, so be ready for a ride, but one thing we can promise is to be gentle and genuine throughout the process.

Decision paralysis is a common theme in everyones life in one way or another. When you’re weighing out your options, the pros and cons, and get so wrapped up in making the decision you come to a point where you’re numb, stuck, and don’t know what to do. Listen in as Kath and Daisy run through their own paralyzing decisions in their personal lives.
As much as we both do our best to stay present in the moment, ya girls are worriers. BIG worriers. This can show up in so many ways in our lives, and this week we’re talking hyperfixating-disassociating-stuck in my head-social anxiety. We’ve each got our ways of dealing with it, but are they really working?
Childhood is one of the most pivotal points in our lives without even realizing it. Our brains latch onto what we learn and see from our caregivers around us. But, a lot of what we bring into our adulthood is not our own beliefs or was plain BS. Were you ever told it’s illegal to turn on the light in a car at night as a kid? Or that college is your only option? Kath and Daisy ramble through what they were told as children and maybe believed for a little too long into adulthood.
Have you ever started waking up and realized you can’t move your body? This is something Daisy’s experienced since childhood, even having an experience the night before this was recorded. Listen now to hear about her odd experiences with sleep paralysis.
Kath and Daisy put themselves out there this past week(in very different ways) to face some fears. & they had a blast bouncing through some of their pet peeves v. things that make them feel alive on a daily basis. Come kick it!

Snack Pack 3 coming in hot! This is our final episode of the season. Don’t worry, we won’t be gone long. We run through reframing celebrations, juicy kiwi grubs, and taking important time to ground and center ourselves. This podcast has been such a journey and this is only the beginning. We've learned so much along the way as well as where we plan to go as we move ahead in this adventure of self growth. Like we said, this is only the beginning :)
Us Women have been robbed- of knowledge, of pleasure, of power. Sex Ed was virtually nonexistent in our childhoods and GOD has that led to a truckload of unlearning and self exploration. Tune in for our episode inspired by the new Netflix docuseries "The Principles of Pleasure" where we recount the lack of knowledge surrounding Women’s bodies and pleasure with some male perspective peppered in from our incredible producer Hurly.
Emotions...but in your body?? Emotions are much more than a mental experience. Feelings and emotions instill physiological responses within your body. When you feel something exciting, you get chills on your arms. Tension building in your throat and neck when someone makes you feel jealous. We all feel emotions physically, but are we really tapping in to the bodily responses that happen?
Part of our growth journey includes doing what scares us in the name of breaking down fears. What better way to start the process than to make it a monthly segment? Our first fear faced: aerial yoga. This was a rollercoaster of emotions but we're so happy we put ourselves out there and learned a lot from the experience. Find out how it went by listening now!

This week we build off of last week's episode about commitment issues by identifying our own attachment styles and how those might be impacting our lives and relationships. To be honest, looking into these brought us down some rabbit holes, both on the internet and within our brains, trying to identify when and how these styles were developed within our lives. Biggest take away: your attachment styles doesn't define you as a person. Rather, it helps to provide insight on patterns that might be present within your life and relationships so you can better understand yourself and continue your growth journey.

Did we commit to our topic of commitment issues? Nope. Do any of us know what we're doing? Nope. Do WE have commitment issues? I mean…..
Our good homie, Marckie P, joins us this Ep as we roll our way through commitment issues, choosing your path, and communication. This pod was filled with so much fun, love, and vulnerability. We hope you take what resonates with you and leave what doesn't. No matter what, stay committed to being gentle with yourself. Much love humans!

This weeks episode is all about support systems: how to ask for what you need (with some input from a male perspective), how to reframe when support systems shift, and how to support yourself. This one gets rambly (…duh) so get ready for some wild theories too.

Telling your friend its okay to be upset and angry after they just got fired and telling someone they need to update their resume and get on Indeed ASAP are two very different ways to respond to the emotional dumping that comes after getting fired. You may send your friend into a spiral when all they wanted was a listening ear. Or they wanted the opposite. Making space for loved ones can be tricky, and knowing what kind of space they need can be even trickier if it’s not clearly communicated. Listen now to hear how we try to navigate this sometimes undefined space with a higher perspective and thinking approach.
Things are getting a little heavy so be ready for some emotions. Loss can take many forms: the end of a relationship, the end of a job, the end of a life phase, and of course, a death. Everyone experiences loss but every new loss brings new struggles, shifts, lessons, and growth. Both of us experienced loss at the end of 2021 and in this episode we share how we’ve worked to process that loss while holding space for ourselves and others.
