On this Episode I speak with one of the most dynamic scorers in South Carolina Basketball History, Devan Downey. Devan has done it all when it comes to the game of basketball, he was a high school standout ranked nationally in the top 40 of the 2005 Rivals 150 while playing at Chester High School in Chester, SC, he was also selected to the 2005 Jordan Brand Classic All-American Game. At the time of graduating and receiving the 2005 South Carolina’s Mr. Basketball and AAA Player of the Year Award, Devan was 2nd All-Time in Career Points with 2,738. After High School, Devan made his way to be a Bearcat at the University of Cincinatti where he played Big East basketball and received All Conference & All American Honors. After finishing his freshman year there, due to coaching changes, Devan decided to come closer to home and play for the University of South Carolina, here is where he spent his last 3 collegiate basketball years. After racking up on countless accolades from All-SEC Honors to All-American Team Honors, Devan focused his eyes towards a long professional basketball career. With a long basketball career which started 25 + years ago for Devan comes knowledge of the game with stories, situations, and experience to follow. Ashley played her prep basketball in Norman, Oklahoma under coach Matilda Mossman who just retired after a long tenure as the head coach for NCAA Division - 1 University of Tulsa and the lady Golden Hurricanes. While at Norman, Ashley boarded her way as the all-time leader in rebounds and third in points. In this episode, Nique speaks with Morgan Stroman, Morgan started her prep basketball career in the 7th grade at Lower Richland High School in Columbia, South Carolina where she won 4 state championships. After concluding her senior year, Morgan was selected to the McDonald’s All - American team and then took her talents to Miami where she spent her collegiate years as a Lady Hurricane. During her time at Miami, Morgan made 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances, ACC Championship, and the 1,000 point club. After graduating, she also played professionally in Spain, Finland, The Netherlands, and Romania.
