od doesn't relish the idea of judging the rebellious. Pastor Ray Bentley says his compassion is seen in his dealings with a certain king. God loves the world. His heart is longsuffering, merciful, gracious. He is looking for the smallest little reason to show forgiveness, to show mercy, to show love, even with someone whose heart is so full of pride as Nebuchadnezzar spread.
Sometimes the events of our lives may be God's efforts to get our attention. Pastor Ray Bentley wonders, are we listening? How many of you live with anxiety? How many of you live with uncertainty and you're wrestling with all of our fears and anxieties? We are wrestling not with my circumstances, not with my spouse or my children. Even. Those are just the outward circumstances. The one I'm really wrestling with is God.
People were skeptical about Jesus in biblical times, just as they are now. Pastor Ray Bentley has a case in point from the Gospel of John. It says, Nathaniel said unto him, can there come anything good out of Nazareth? Can anything good come from Nazareth? And Philip saith unto him, come and see. You meet Jesus, and you won't be talking about Nazareth. You'll be talking about Jesus spreading.
It's easy to get discouraged when we see our own sinful shortcomings. But pastor Ray Bentley has good news. He says the Lord has a better vantage point. Would you like to know what Jesus sees when he looks at you? I think you would be amazed because he not only sees what a man is, he sees what a man will become in many ways, until you come to Jesus, you have not even begun to be your true self spreading.
We each must take responsibility for our actions, the things we do, the decisions we make. Pastor Ray Bentley puts it in perspective. We always want somebody to blame. But guess what? We are the sum total of the choices that we have made in life, and therefore all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And there's nobody to blame but me. Do you know what Jesus is saying? But be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.
How do we find our calling in God's kingdom? Today, pastor Ray Bentley says, start by following the humility and focus of John the Baptist. Jesus was there in the crowd, and they don't know who he is, and he's standing right there among them. See, they were all, wow, this John guy is awesome. He's a great prophet of God. And he says, I'm nothing. And John says, behold. And now he points him out. Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.
We'd all love it if God's plan for our lives were laid out like a map. But pastor Ray Bentley says the Lord shows us his plan. One step at a time. How many of us say to God, Give me understanding? I don't get it. And if you would explain it to me, then I'll do what you want me to do. And God is saying, No. Believe in me and do it like a little child. Then, when you are obedient, you'll really understand.
The old hymn says Onward Christian soldiers. But like a layman, some of us are immobile. Pastor Ray Bentley has good encouragement. Many of us get so paralyzed with fear. We don't even try anymore because we've been so beaten down. Jesus says, Be courageous. Stand up. And that man who has been your bondage. Pick it up. Throw it over your shoulder and go home.
Pastor Ray Bentley says, as believers, not only are our sins forgiven. We're actually seen as righteous before God. We've been justified just as if those sins never happened. How many of you are glad that Jesus doesn't see you as you were, and all the bad things that you have done? Jesus does not look at us with the overlay of our past upon us, but with fresh forgiveness and compassion. That's how I want him to see me spreading.
From Luke chapter seven. Pastor Ray Bentley helps us see the deep meaning behind the account of the woman who anointed the Lord's feet with perfume. I love that where Jesus said to that woman, thy sins, and I know they are many. And he's looking with such intense, passionate love. And it's like, I don't care. There are many. I forgive thee. Go and sin no more. Is that powerful?
Today, pastor Ray Bentley brings us a final overview of the last book in the Bible and the Book of Revelation. It describes Satan's defeat and his punishment for a thousand years and then for eternity. In fact, there is no book in the Bible that more clearly, definitively, and finally shows the doom of the devil than the Book of Revelation. If you want to be encouraged, read the Book of Revelation
Pastor Ray Bentley reminds us of the salient question surrounding a last day study. The fact of the matter is, for the rapture of the church, it could happen at any day, at any moment, at any hour and any time. And when it happens, it will happen. The twinkling of an eye. There is no time to waste or to live. Compromise lives. He could come today. So the question is, are you ready? Are you ready right now? And are you ready today?
Ever been terribly thirsty. Pastor Ray Bentley says that's built in by God. Why did he make us with this deep desire for water? Because it's a spiritual lesson. Even as there is a time when only pure cold water will satisfy your bodily thirst. So the Holy Spirit alone will satisfy the need and the craving of your soul spreading. You see all of these people coming down before the King.
Coming up today, pastor Ray Bentley offers a biblical tour of heaven, and we may be surprised at the rich colors that will surround us. I don't know why we everybody has this weird imagination that heaven is everything is white. No, nothing could be further from the truth. There is more color, brilliance. God is in to color now. He loves white. He loves light, but he loves all the other colors.
After the rapture. After the millennium, God has an even bigger plan. Pastor Ray Bentley explains, today God creates a new heaven and a new earth, and a new Jerusalem comes from God out of heaven to the earth. And where is it? He puts it right where he wanted it. From the very beginning, on top of a great high mountain. And oh, what a city this will be. It will be unlike anything you have ever seen.
Pastor Ray Bentley offers a picture of what life will be like in heaven. Imagine this every day for the rest of eternity. There will be nothing to be depressed about. All that will be gone. Sorrow won't be there. Tears won't be there. And there's another thing that won't be there. Death won't be. And the kingdom of heaven. You will never. Once you get to heaven. You will never go to another funeral. The rest of eternity.
Coming up today, pastor Ray Bentley explains just what draws us to heaven. Our citizenship is in heaven, and our Heavenly Father is there. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is there. Our divine Comforter, the Holy Spirit is there. All of our loved ones who have gone before us are there. Our reward is there and our eternal future is there.
Pastor Ray Bentley takes us to the Great White Throne Judgment in the Book of Revelation. This has been described as the most serious, sobering, and tragic scene in the entire Bible. It is the final reckoning of God and fallen humanity that was originally made in his image and after his likeness that he made every provision for their forgiveness and salvation, but for whatever reason chose to reject him.
Pastor Ray Bentley with a snapshot of life during the millennium. God's going to let the animals roam free throughout the planet. They'll be cruising right down your neighborhood. You're a little kid, a mommy, a lion, and go, okay, honey. Have fun. See you later. Now, wouldn't you love to hug a big Ole lion, a hug if it wasn't going to bite your head off? I could give a big Ole bear a hug and have a real bear hug.
Pastor Ray Bentley on our unquenchable thirst for peace. From the beginning of time, man has searched for peace. We have had many peace movements. We have marched for peace. We have even gone to war for the sake of peace. Peace will only come when the Prince of Peace comes and his feet touch the Mount of Olives. And everything will change.
