Episode 129 - Part Two: Insight and Analysis with Melissa Moore, Daughter Of a Serial Killer
Laura Richards and Lisa Zambetti continue their interview with Melissa Moore, the daughter of Keith Jespersen, whose terrible moniker was “The Happy Face Killer”. He murdered at least 8 women during the early 1990s and at least one victim, Daun, survived.Melissa talks about the difficult meeting with Michelle, Taunja Bennett’s sister, her discussions with her father about killing the victims and the impact it’s had on her life and family. We ask the difficult questions about what was going on behind closed doors and whether were there any warning signs that he was a danger to women and girls? We re-balance the narrative by talking about the victims, honouring their names and lives, remembering them and learning from their deaths:#HerNameWasTaunjaBennett#HerNameWasClaudia#HerNameWasCynthiaLynRose#HerNameWasLaurieAnnPentland#HerNameWasJane#HerNameWasSusanne#HerNameWasAngelaSubrize#HerNameWasJuliaAnnWinningham#HerNameISDaunRichert-Slagle@MelissaGMooreMelissa’s show “Monster in my Family”https://youtu.be/7ugV8zPHgH8Melissa’s book “Shattered Silence”https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shattered-Silence-Untold-Killers-Daughter/dp/1599552388Today's episode was sponsored by Stitch Fix.You can have your very own, affordable stylist from the comfort of your own home. The disclaimer in the beginning was pointless. They basically pointed out all the things he DOES do. You're constantly interrupting her, talking over her, saying she's wrong. He needs to get his facts right about what happened with this case before saying no that's not right. This episode was so annoying to listen to.

I just listened to the rafay family episode and the disclaimer at the beginning of the episode should have tipped me off, but is this how Jim always behaves? it's not the passion anyone disagrees with, I get that. it's the constant interruption of his co host, the condescending tone, the argumentative approach, etc. I don't care to give another episode a chance if this is how it always is.

Just finished watching the documentary, ......wow! Scares me that something like that can happen to a crime scene! The appeals after the first acquittal seemed obvious that some who's were bruised Thanks Jim, Lisa and Laura for the beautiful discretion of this long drawn out case. ps: my daughter worked on CM12&13 :)

I'm actually pretty disappointed at how little of the discussion in episodes 123 - 125 is actually about Sandusky. In the first two episodes the main topic is more about the depiction in the recent HBO movie detailing the reaction of Paterno and his family. And in the first episode titled "Profiling Jerry Sandusky," they even state flat out that they are going to go through the events of the movie and ask Scott Paterno how realistic the portrayal was. At what point did any "profiling" get discussed? Sandusky is talked about far less than Paterno, so I'm kind of annoyed at how misleading the series has been so far.

was listening to the podcast on Wormwood, heard Jim say that the "genesis of wormwood".....thought it funny that wormwood shows up in Revelations.......sort of the alpha and omega in that quote. hope someone else gets the humor in this.....lol

great show! got me to watch The Keepers! being a product the Catholic school system, I am beyond horrified with this story!! 1st through 8th was a true gem of a school! we all stay in touch 40+ years later. After watching the show, it made me wonder about the years in Catholic high school, specifically what one "priest" could have done??? no stories that I've heard of, however he seemed like the two "priests" in the show?? using the retrospectascope, he was the impetus in my twin brother and I left the school and finished 11th/12th in public high school! ps: I Lisa as sexy as she sounds? :) Huge fan of your podcast! keep em coming

latest episodes (Sandusky) drove me nuts. I appreciate the passion behind Jim's words, however I completely disagree with him and I do not think being a predator while also being a "normal person" within society are mutually exclusive. but that is just my opinion. Secondly, PLEASE STOP USING THE WORD "LITERALLY." you are using it incorrectly, too often, and it dumbs down EVERYTHING you say. great podcast overall and I love you all!
