God gives more grace to those who choose to humble ourselves and submit to Him. So much so, that when we resist the devil, he has to flee from us. We just need to stop doubting, trust God and rest on Him.
Our enemy is not human, and not of this world. There is a spiritual realm outside of our world of physics where light and darkness are in constant warfare over our lives. But, there are also angels who rejoice even when one person comes to repentance, and chooses to follow Christ.
As true followers of Christ, we’re well aware of the demonic activity that goes on in the world. We also know that these demonic spirits want to infiltrate our lives and control us. This is why it’s important that churches be on their guard in these dark and dangerous times, and arm ourselves with the truth of God’s Word.
We’re to be aware of how demonic spirits work, and the ways they try to deceive us. False teachers are tools of the enemy, but the more we study the Bible, the less we’re likely to fall for Satan’s lies.
We have a spiritual enemy who will stop at nothing to discourage us, and lead us astray. But, the Bible tells us that nothing can separate us from God’s love, and when we truly give our hearts to Him, He will lead us on the right path.
False ministries can lead us into rules and legalism to control us. They love power and authority, and will exploit us with deceptive promises. Above all, they’ll encourage the one sin that will seduce even the strongest of Christians, and that is materialism and the desire for more.
It’s important for Christians to watch and listen for false ministries. Why? Because they’re here, they’re active in our communities, and they can be very persuasive. They’re teachings are infectious, and can draw huge crowds, and only when we share God’s Word can we combat their false promises and false hope.
All of us who follow Christ are called to have a militant kind of faith. Now, more than ever there are teachers out there who promote what sounds close to the truth, who are really spreading outright dangerous lies. But, as God continues to move in a powerful way, we can expect that kind of deception from the enemy.

We need to be aware of a works-based faith. Many are deceived through false teachers who present a different Gospel, and unless you know your Bible, they’ll undermine it’s truth in a very secretive and seductive way.
“Eyes On, Ears On” is a combat special ops declaration. It means we’re watching, listening and ready to go. Spiritually, we’re saying that no matter what lies ahead, through the power and might of the Holy Spirit we can stop our enemy Satan from getting a foothold into our lives.

God knows the times and the seasons, and wants us to know that He keeps His Word, and that His Word is ahead of tomorrow’s headlines, ahead of sickness, ahead of pain, and ahead of anything you are about to face.
As a true Christ follower, our desire is to have our daily lives to be a reflection of our faith. When we get to know God in a deeper way, we’ll interact with God’s divine will for us, as we in turn will follow His authority with confidence and security.
Our faith is not based on an opinion. Billions of lives were not transformed by some story, but through Jesus Christ, and the truths found in God’s Word. When our faith is based on Jesus, our testimony is sure, and our eternity in Heaven is secured.
Wherever the Gospel is preached, change happens. It’s not by following cleverly devised fables, but through Jesus Christ and the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit that our lives are made new.
Since the Bible makes claims that are absolutes, then we can claim with assurance that our faith is grounded in truth. It’s not rooted in a person, and isn’t found in any system. Church membership can’t even get us into Heaven. Only faith in Jesus Christ, and believing that God raised Him from the dead can we be saved.
These days, we waste a lot of time on things that are not important. But, combat faith is about redeeming the time by making it count. Peter reminds us that it’s critical our earthly lives have focus and perspective on what the Lord wants us to do with our time.
Just like in Peter’s day, combat faith is what we’re going to need to overcome a lost worldview system. It’s a battle that every Christian needs to be involved in. Our time here on earth is short, so we need to make the best of it when it comes to sharing our faith with passion and purpose.
For the Christ follower, it’s our faith that drives the experience, and not the other way around. During the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth, and on up towards Peter’s day, people flocked towards the miracles. Even today, there are certain ministers who turn the grace of God into self-satisfying opportunities of a different gospel.
