Episode 93Ever open your Bible and wonder, “Where do I even start?” Join the club. With so many books, sections, and expectations, it can feel overwhelming. In this episode, we break it down into simple steps. There are some great places to begin, like the Gospels, Psalms, Proverbs, or even a passage that speaks to the specific season of life you’re in right now. Deciding what to read first can be intimidating, but through prayer, using a simple guide, or just picking one spot to camp out in, it becomes a breeze. Together, we'll explore how to approach Scripture without pressure by slowing down, asking questions, and finding your favorite study method. Most of all, you’ll hear encouragement. Rest assured, you don’t need a seminary degree. Consistency matters more than quantity, and God meets us in the small, faithful steps. If you’ve ever felt stuck, confused, or intimidated by the Bible, this is your place to start fresh!🍂 Check out our Fall Hoodies and Sweatshirts to warm hearts with the love of God this season! 💌 Join our email list to get free follow-along guides with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Episode 92If your teenager expresses interest in a church or belief system that you believe teaches false doctrine or belongs to a false religion, it can make you feel alarmed, heartbroken, or even angry. But you have an opportunity to respond with wisdom, grace, and faith.Prayer and God’s Word are the greatest resources we have to tap into when facing situations like this. You don’t have to let fear, worry, anger, or resentment drive a wedge in your relationship with your teen, or keep either of you from having a close relationship with God.Our teens may not be the clingy littles we remember from not so long ago, but don’t be tempted to think that they need you any less. It is still vitally important for parents to stay engaged in the lives of teens as they grow older, and the time we have left with them in our home draws short. They are on a journey in their own faith, just like you once were, and you have the opportunity to help guide them with love, respect, and humility toward the Lord. 🍂 Check out our Fall Hoodies and Sweatshirts to warm hearts with the love of God this season! 💌 Join our email list to get free follow-along guides with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Episode 91If you’ve ever caught yourself scrolling through social media and thinking, “Why don’t I look like her?” or “Why isn’t my life where hers is?”—you’re not alone. Insecurity and comparison sneak into so many areas of our lives: our bodies, our possessions, even the season of life we’re in. But underneath it all, insecurity isn’t really about what we have or don’t have. It’s about being too focused on ourselves instead of God's purpose for us.In this conversation, we get honest about how easy it is to measure our worth by worldly standards, and how freeing it is to shift our eyes back to God’s calling. Our looks, our things, and our status don’t change our ability to obey Him. And when we put ourselves or others down, we’re denying that each of us is one of His beautiful, intentional creations. This is an encouragement to let go of comparison, to stop carrying the weight of insecurity, and to step into the freedom of valuing yourself and others the way God already does.👕 Check out our "Identity In Christ" t-shirt line to remind yourself who God sees and wear that confidence on your sleeve! 💌 Join our email list to get free follow-along guides with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Episode 90Why do Christian women keep battling the same sins, even when we truly want to change? In this episode, we expose the spiritual warfare behind habitual sin and how the enemy pushes back the moment we walk in obedience. The Holy Spirit keeps bringing conviction through sermons, songs, and conversations because God is forming us. But as we obey, the enemy fights harder, hoping to derail us. That’s why prayer and the armor of God aren’t optional; they’re essential. We’ll talk about:Why recurring sin is part of spiritual warfare, not just weaknessWhy accountability matters (God sent disciples out two by two for a reason!)Seeing conviction as God’s mercy, not shameHow sanctification makes us stronger each time we fightThe battle between flesh and Spirit is real, but God equips us to overcome. If you’re tired of the cycle, remember: you’re not alone, and victory is possible through Christ.💌 Join our email list at reallivefaith.com to get a free guide to equip you for spiritual warfare!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Episode 89In this episode, we dive into a question many believers wrestle with. From ancient texts and early church writings to modern books claiming divine insight, we explore how to approach extra-biblical material with wisdom and discernment. While some historical and cultural resources can provide helpful background and deepen our understanding of the Bible, they should never replace or rival it. These must be tested carefully. The standard? God’s Word. The Bible is the only book God gave us as His Word, and it's complete. Join us as we walk through how to navigate extra-biblical writings while keeping the authority and sufficiency of the Bible at the center of our faith.💌 Join our email list at reallivefaith.com to get free follow-along resources to download with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Ep. 87 When life feels chaotic with unexpected detours, painful losses, or moments when evil seems to win, it’s natural to ask: Is God behind this?In this episode, we’re leaning into the tension between God’s absolute sovereignty and our very real free will. We’ll talk about how God is always in control, but He never causes us to sin. He is holy and good; He does not manipulate us like robots. He gave us the gift of choice, and with it, the responsibility for what we speak, think, and do.We’ll unpack what it means that God sometimes allows what He does not approve, and how even when evil happens in this broken world, He is never absent, never surprised, and never loses control. He is able to work all things, even the painful things together for His glory and our good.If you’ve ever wrestled with questions like, “Does God make bad things happen?” or “Am I just a puppet on a string?” this conversation is for you.Join us as we explore what Scripture says about God’s sovereignty, our free will, and the peace we can have knowing He is trustworthy through it all.💌 Join our email list at reallivefaith.com to get free follow-along resources to download with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Ep. 86 Each time something comes up from your past, pray and ask the Lord to help you hand over those thoughts to Him. Ask the Lord to give you peace.2 Corinthians 10:5, “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ”Every time the enemy tries to throw our past in our face and bring it up, we can go straight to the Lord and ask Him to intervene and to give us healing. It’s not something we can do in our own strength. It comes as a result of continuously trusting in God and relying on Him and leaning on Him and His strength.Remember: Guilt and shame are not from God. That is from satan. God will never cause you to feel guilt and shame. When we place our faith in Christ and receive salvation, He forgives us and He never throws our sin in our face!💌 Join our email list at reallivefaith.com to get free follow-along resources to download with each new episode!📱 We'd love to connect with you on social media! Ep. 82 In this episode, we're uncovering some of the most powerful ministry moments that are hidden in everyday life. Do I need a platform to talk about Jesus? Who am I supposed to share the Gospel with in my daily life? How do I start the conversation or lead it to share my faith? You don’t have to reach everyone. You just have to reach the ones God has entrusted to you. That means you don’t have to compare your influence to someone else’s. You simply need to steward your circle well — whether that’s 100 people or just 1!📖 Have you ever been curious to know what some words in the Bible meant in the original language? Ep. 79 In this episode, we want to spotlight and encourage some people who sometimes get overlooked: our faithful servants in ministry. Why is it so difficult to minister to people sometimes? How do I resolve conflict with others who are serving alongside me? What should I do when I feel like ministry leadership isn't doing things the right way? God uses imperfect people to do His work and because of that we will encounter some strain in those relationships, but when we stay focused on what really matters we will find renewed joy in serving!✝️ What did Jesus spend the week doing, before His death? Ep. 78 In this episode, we share some personal details from a time of tribulation in our lives to encourage you to cling to the Truth in Romans 5:3-5 when you're going through your own trials. Why won't God give me a break from all the hardship I've experienced? Where is God when I'm feeling overcome by suffering? How do I survive the trials and tribulations of life without losing hope? Ep. 77 In this episode, we uncover some wild Old Testament symbolism of Jesus, the cross, and our salvation. Why should we care about ceremonies in the Old Testament if most aren't practiced today? How is the physical mark of a bondservant back then significant to our relationship with Jesus, now? How long are we bound in servitude to God? Even the seemingly strange or sometimes uncomfortable parts of Scripture can teach us valuable lessons about the beauty of the Gospel!✝️ What did Jesus spend the week doing, before His death? Ep. 76 In this episode, we find the perfect balance between self care and selfless character. Is it a sin for Christian women to treat themselves at the hair or nail salon? Should believers take "mental health days"? How can we take care of our bodies in a way that glorifies God? The world urges us to only think about what's best for ourselves and what will feel good in the moment, but God's Word says that caring for our whole selves - mind, body, and soul - is about so much more than just us!
