This weekend I get to play SysAdmin as my homelab (which stores all of my RSA material) had a disk failure in one of my servers. It's all parity protected, but I'm spending a good 20 hours moving data off another disk that I'm kinda suspicious of. If anyone wants to donate a stack of 16TB SATA drives to me, I wouldn't say no at this point. But because I have lost data in the distant past, I've already learned my lesson. But this doesn't directly affect RSA at all, as we've got a great show for everyone. A higher tempo than usual, but the first track I selected was 150 bpm(!), that sets the tone for the rest of the show! Things are more or less back to normal around here, as we prepare for the onset of Winter in Canada. This week I do put some emphasis on what the heck we're going to do about next years membership drive. I'm really looking for your feedback on what you'd like to receive in return for donations. I'm looking at Enamel pins (much like the Sanctuary pins that are on my "battle jacket"). Sadly the patches we did prior to the pandemic are insanely expensive now. If you have one, it's a collectiors item! THis wek we also expanded to 9 songs instead of the usual 8. I apologize for missing last week, but apparently if you're unable to eat solid food for several days the pounds just melt away! I have some work to do on my health, but the work will be done. One thing that I forgot to mention in this weeks show is that this week we have Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth and Veterans day in the USA. Having stood on Tower bridge in London, and the docks in Hamburg I'm just glad that the idea of bombing either city now is such an inconceivable thing. A few weeks ago I promised a theme show, I like to do extra long shows when I come back from one of my two "breaks" every year. It would appear that I've used up all of my RSA vacation time, so its smooth sailing from here to the end of the year. So my vacation didn't come off as I expected. I had a very, very large flare up of my anxiety disorder so I made the smart decision and stayed home rather be in distress while visiting friends. Its not the first time its happened, so I'm going to put a pause on overnight flights and multiple time zones. William Gibson once wrote that flying allowed us to travel faster than our souls, and it usually takes ~18 hours for them to catch up. But I'm much better now, almost back to normal, so what better way to celebrate than put out...
