thanks Dave and Matt for your insights and discussions on civil religion. as a Canadian I don't think our country is immune to the same unfortunate thinking in churches here thanks for the brave , courageous and I think prophetic voice rsf has. matt 25: 14 is one of my favorite parables. the big twist is the most careful conservative investor is punished! the fellow with 10 bags will have had to put his investment that had some risk, maybe a lot of risk to get a return of 100%. the lesson for me is the kingdom of God involves risk, maybe a lot at times. Jesus risked his love for us, there is the very real threat of rejection by everyone. thank you Jesus for modeling risky love.
