This week is the final episode of this season on ‘Really Good Exposure’ (Boo! But don’t worry, we will be back!). To end it with a bang we have the incredibly talented Kaya Scodelario! Plus a VERY special announcement from Meg! - Stay tuned at the end of the episode to hear what she’s been waiting patiently to announce for WEEKS!🤔
Meg has had the pleasure of knowing Kaya for almost two decades now - they first met as teenagers when they were on the UK teen drama ‘Skins’ together a shocking 18 years ago (!!!) and Kaya has not been able to get rid of Meg ever since :)
During this episode, Kaya and Meg talk about the not-so-glamorous side of acting and what it was like working on such an adult show at such a young age. Kaya tells the story of how she was discovered at the Skins open auditions - and the fact that she was actually NOT The first person who was cast to play Effy in Skins (there’s also an alternate universe where Meg and her twin sister Kat play different roles too!).
Kaya and Meg talk about the moment they first met, what filming together was like, the importance of prioritising your mental health and how it was for Kaya growing up in the spotlight, managing social anxiety and the para-social relationships people can have with actors, particularly women in the industry.
Meg also has a guess at which very well known actor is a sh**ty kisser…
Don’t forget to listen to the WHOLE ep so that you catch the special announcement!
You can watch Kaya play the badass Susie Glass in 'The Gentlemen' on Netflix (season 2 is in production now!) and you can follow her on instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/kayascods.

The Really Good Exposure podcast will be taking a quick break, so that Meg can catch up with life admin, take a birthday break (4th June FYI) and so that she can prep for the final episode of the podcast which will be coming out on the 17th June, featuring a very special guest! Thank you so much to everyone who has tuned in every week so far - make sure you've subscribed so that you don't miss the extra special season finale on 17th June!
This week on Really Good Exposure we have the phenomenal Holly Adomah! Holly is an OFFIE award winning freelance arts marketer, and was the first and last marketing manager at The Bunker theatre (RIP!). Holly is also the founder of Holly's Angels; a team of volunteers who have turned theatre spaces into food distribution hubs since December 2020 to help support local artists and community members who are experiencing hardships.
Holly and Meg get into why access to theatre and other arts spaces need to be a right for everyone, not just a luxury the privileged few. We discuss the way theatre has the power to impact social change and why its so important that we aren't just screaming into an echo chamber with audiences. We get into performative activism in the arts, arts nepotism, and how everyone deserves the same basic worker rights/protections, regardless of how much they enjoy their job. Holly talks about how to get the work life balance right as a freelancer (spoiler: its difficult!), the problem with hustle culture and the #TeamNoDaysOff mentality and how she makes working in the arts financially viable despite the unpredictable nature of the industry.
We talk about the disappointing backlash theatres faced with Black Out Nights and why these performances are so important, what happened when someone came into a theatre Holly worked at wearing an 'All Lives Matter T-shirt' and why there's still so much work to do to make theatre the inclusive space that it should be.
Full disclosure: Holly and Meg both have ADHD and hadn't seen each other in a while when this was recorded, so expect wild tangents, excited interjections, and losing track of time!

A lot of the topics that we talk about on really good exposure relate to women's rights, worker rights, and the sorry state that both of those are in right now. We believe that women have the right to choose what they do with their bodies and how they make their money, and we also believe that how we choose to use our bodies should never, ever alleviate perpetrators of violence from accountability. We believe that all workers deserve basic human rights and protections, and we believe that predators are always responsible for violence, not victims. If you agree, please consider donating to national ugly mugs. National ugly mugs is a pioneering national organisation that provides greater access to justice and protection for sex workers. You can donate here: https://nationaluglymugs.org/donate you can also follow N.U.M. on instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/nationaluglymugs Sex workers are often targeted by dangerous individuals and face obstacles to reporting access to services and police protection. Those who harm sex workers offend against all of us.
Today, we’re giving some excellent exposure to Cass Traitor!
Cass is a writer, an artist, and a Dominatrix. They are also a freelance feminist journalist who works as an editor for Red Insight (a digital platform for sex workers). Cass also makes live art and short films about mental health, disability, BDSM, sexuality and gender and has been co-devising and performing with the Sex Workers opera (https://sexworkersopera.com/) for 10 years.
Meg and Cass talk about the difficulty of breaking into any kind of creative freelance field with no financial support, and how being autistic helped Cass to discover they were an excellent Dominatrix! They also talk about the duality of doing sex work to support their ‘mainstream’ creative work, just how much money Meg spent on her Edinburgh show, and why creative work and other non-traditional forms of labour absolutely need to start being respected as legitimate - and vital - forms of work.

Sex workers are often targeted by dangerous individuals and face obstacles to reporting access to services and police protection. Those who harm sex workers offend against all of us.
Do you have questions about how sex work is criminalised in the UK? Are you confused between the difference between ‘Decriminalisation’’ (whoo) and ‘Legalisation’ (boo)? Do you want to know why sex workers and human rights organisations are against the ‘Nordic Model’ of sex work criminalisation, even though it claims to decriminalise the sex worker? THEN YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE BEFORE THE 13th MAY!
Hello and welcome to this very important EMERGENCY episode of Really Good Exposure.
As you may or may not know, there is currently a government consultation on the UK Police and Crime Bill. Some of the proposed amendments to this bill would mean the introduction of something called the ‘Nordic Model’ of criminalising sex work. On the surface this model (sometimes called the ‘End Demand’ model) is pitched as a ‘feminist’ way to criminalise sex work, because it claims to decriminalise the sex seller and criminalise the sex buyers. However, the Nordic Model has been proven to increase violence against workers every where it has been introduced. This law being implemented in the UK would be incredibly dangerous for sex workers, and would make it easier for perpetrators of violence to harm this already-marginalised group of workers.
I invited writer, performer, activist and ex-stripper Stacey Clare to do this emergency episode of RGE so that listeners could not only learn about the Nordic Model, and why it is so dangerous, but also so that they could find information on how to write to the government opposing these proposed amendments to the Police and Crime Bill before the deadline of the 13th May. If you are a feminist, you will inherently believe that women have a right to bodily autonomy, safety at work, and the same human rights as anyone else. Please make your voices heard before 13th May!

Today we’re giving Cassiah Joski-Jethi some Really Good Exposure!
Cassiah is an award-winning mixed-race writer/director represented by Independent, who began her career working for writer/director Gurinder Chadha OBE after a chance meeting on a train.
Meg talks to Cassiah about how the hell you get into directing without going to film school, how Cassiah supports herself as a creative freelancer while also making a pretty daunting industry more accessible to people who can’t afford to go to film school, and why it is so important to find joy in creativity that isn’t about work.
Cassiah shares her tips for breaking into writing/directing, her methods of connecting with other creatives who she learnt from at the beginning of her career, and how to keep yourself sane in an industry that can feel somewhat bleak at times!
Cassiah has directed five short films including her recent award-winning BFI Network film 'Catch A Butcher' which screened at multiple BAFTA/BIFA festivals, and was acquired by ALTER and BFI Player. Most recently, Cassiah directed the BBC Studios short award-winning thriller 'The Pink Pill'. She was also recently a Trainee Director on Apple TV’s ‘Hijack’ mentored by director/showrunner Jim Field Smith, and has also been mentored by director Claire McCarthy. Cassiah is now working on her debut feature projects, including one in development with the BFI. In 2024, Cassiah was selected for the prestigious BRIT List, as well as selected for BFI Network@LFF 2024, and this year, she has been selected for BFI Midlands Directors Lab 2025.

This week, we have some very special guests who we’ve managed to coax out of the attic: Buffy and Heaven, co-hosts of the ‘Strippers in the Attic’ podcast!
Buffy and Heaven are two veteran strippers, who have stripped everywhere from Las Vegas, to Heaven’s friend’s dad’s basement club. Heaven and Meg have been friends for going on two decades and they know all of each others dirty secrets (and we mean dirty in the most literal sense…🤣). This episode is even more NFSW than the previous ones so you have been warned!
The Strippers in the Attic talk to Meg about the similarities between stripping and other types of work and reminisce with Meg over their shared ‘unconventional’ teenage years. We also get some excellent stories, like the time Buffy threw a tray of champagne over Peter Stringfellow, the time Heaven’s mum found her nudes on facebook, what Heaven’s been banned from doing in the strip club and why you should never, ever use Buffy’s bathtub…
Heaven also raps the Hiphopopotamus, and that alone is worth tuning in for.

Welcome to the first fully fledged episode of Really Good Exposure! It took a MINUTE, but we're here! And to start us of with a bang we're got an incredible first guest. Joining us on the podcast today is Bree Essrig! Bree is a writer, actor, director, comedian, and fellow Only Fans creator who has just released her debut film - ‘Sugar Baby’ (which is brilliant!).
Like Meg, Bree was in the spotlight from a young age and was in the public eye during the 2010s - where body shaming, misogyny and general f**kery was rife and the me too movement was almost a decade away from materialising.
Bree and Meg talk about everything from fame, foot fetishes and finding your feet as a freelancer to the perils of auditioning, the parallels in sex work and the acting industry and the worst jobs they’ve ever had.
You can find Bree on:

Hello hello hello! Welcome to our very special Christmas episode of Really Good Exposure! We're joined by the absolute badass that is Kaytlin Bailey. Kaytlin is a writer, a comedian, host of 'The Oldest Profession' podcast and founder and CEO of 'Old Pros' - a non profit media organisation that uses storytelling to advocate for sex workers’ rights. Kaytlin's phenomenal solo show 'Whore's Eye View' will be on in London from 3rd-7th December and I must insist that everyone reading this get tickets immediately here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/whores-eye-view-kaytlin-bailey-tickets-1034970433427
Kaytlin and I get into how we both found our Edinburgh fringe experiences, how we're going to be spending the holidays and we break down the naked, drunken origins of some of our favourite modern day Christmas traditions... We also talk about our best and worst Christmas jobs, why Santa was coined the 'Patron Saint of Sex Workers' and why the strip club is the jolliest place to be on Christmas Eve.

Welcome back! The podcast has had a much needed upgrade! I am pleased to present the pilot episode of my podcast 'Really Good Exposure: The life lessons I learned the hard way, so you don't have to'
On this episode, I speak with one of my closest friends, Skins cast mate, and roommate - Lily Loveless! Lily played Naomi in the UK teen drama Skins almost 15 years ago alongside me.
Lily and I get into the nitty gritty about what's been going on since our time on Skins, our friendship, what life as neurodivergent creative freelancers is really like and what's in store for us in the future.
We also reminisce on our time filming Skins together, and answer some listener questions.
This episode was produced by the amazing Alice McDermott!
Please comment, like, share on socials and tell your friends about the episode! The better the response to this pilot episode the better the chance that this gets turned into a fully fledged podcast series :)

Another stream of consciousness from yours truly, only this time she's been locked inside a house for the past year! Meg gives her opinions (which were never asked for) on a variety of topics, including how to ease lockdown slumps (maybe?), her progress on getting an ADHD diagnosis, and her take on Only Fans (its great). Remember: no one's forcing you to listen.
Meg discusses (/rants) about the recent opinion of the all-knowing-fountain-of-knowledge that is Russel Brand, Bella Thorne's recent highjacking of a certain online platform and the (questionable) reasoning behind it, as well as the narratives around women taking the pill/natural birth...

Its taken four years, but I am finally at a place where talking about this won't leave me an angry, revenge-seeking mess. The Dumbbells and Donuts documentary was my baby. I spent the entirety of what little money I had on getting it made, and I quite literally put sweat blood and tears into competing, and it is yet to see the light of day.
This podcast is not as fun as the others but serves as more as something I can refer people to when they ask 'What happened to the Dumbbells and Donuts Documentary?' so that I don't have to go over it again, because I am still just as upset about it as I was four years ago and going over it and explaining it is really exhausting.
I promise the next episode we will be back to our regular scheduled programming! x
On this wonderful day designed to make people feel shitty if they aren't in a loveless relationship, Meg discusses her ideas on what the ideal relationship is which is once again NOT A CULT. If you're feeling crap being single on Valentines day, this is the episode for you!
Meg is going back to LA for a few days, but in the mean time, life as a temp is T E S T I N G. Passive aggressive cup aggression has ensued.
Meg unloads a stream of consciousness on unsuspecting listeners. She discusses her theories on life lived through Sims theory... (its a thing).
Meg is done. London weather is breaking everyone.
Anyone ever experience the difficulty of deciphering which exact pool the kids were dropped off at? MEG DOES.
Meg has joined two dating apps and ventured into the enigma that is the office Xmas party...
