Long Beach was a jam packed weekend! The meat and potatoes of the weekend revolved around the opportunity to finally watch Westside vs. the World, directed by Michael Fahey, as well as a Conjugate U seminar put on by Nate Harvey. This episode does not follow the typical show format. Instead it covers each aspect of the trip as it comes. I had a great workout at MetroFlex gym in Long Beach, and i talk about my opinion of how they run things. The second section covers WestSide vs the World and includes an interview with director Michael Fahey. We end the podcast with a discussion of the Conjugate U seminar. If you are interested in jumping towards the section where i interview Michael it starts right around 11:40. Hope the Hammer returns to kick of the Christmas season! We spent the day decorating the house, putting up our Christmas tree and while we recorded the show, we built ginger bread houses. All right, another solo podcast! My buddies and I recorded a podcast earlier in the day the unfortunate thing about it was that I was a little to inebriated to create a quality product. This means that I needed to record a new one. I sometimes think I care too much about what I put into the world. Rest assured, Dakota and Jason, the original podcast guests will return soon to get another crack at it and I will be far less drunk to make sure things flow correctly. While running the one man wedding band I make sure to cover topics pertaining to RPH news, Strength world news, and Humboldt County news. Well I know ya missed her, but Hope the Hammer is BACK!!! We follow the usual format. Redwood PowerHouse has some new additions. The strength world is in the wake of a new strondman competition in Dubai. To wrap up Humboldt county said goodbye to HSU football having their last game at Redwood Bowl. Interesting enough things in the end wound up taking a turn for the political, as we discussed living in the age of everybody being offended and the upcoming elections. Jason Wentworth joins us for Episode 28. Jason is a small business owner, fitness enthusiast, father, and societal hopefull. This man has quite the resume, as he’s worked at numerous Humboldt County Gyms, is an entry level USAW coach, and Humboldt County’s only Kettlebell instructor certified through the Strong First: School of Strength Foundation. I was excited to pick his brain and learn more about his views on the fitness industry. Furthermore, it’s important to note that he has become one of Redwood PowerHouse’s newest members.
