Beginning on March 20, 2012, Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, will deliver a series of lectures at the George Washington University's School of Business (GWSB). "Reflections of the Federal Reserve and its Place in Today's Economy" will provide a firsthand look at the inner-workings of the U.S. central banking system. Chairman Bernanke's lectures will begin with the origins and missions of the Federal Reserve, followed by a lecture that will discuss the role and actions of the Federal Reserve in the period after World War II. In the final two lectures, the chairman will review some of the causes of, and policy responses to, the recent financial crisis, focusing specifically on the actions of the Federal Reserve. The eight lectures following the chairman will be given by GWSB faculty.

Anthony Yezer is a Professor of Economics, and he directs the Center for Economic Research at The George Washington University.
In this lecture, Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou, professor of finance from the George Washington School of Business (GWSB), discusses Chairman Bernanke's final two lectures.
