On our 49th Podcast, James from “The True Believers” joins me once again as we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Marvel comics superhero Spider-Man. We start with a look back at the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spider-Man’s his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 to Amazing Spider-Man #33 “If This Be My Destiny” one of the most celebrated issues of the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko era. We also talk about Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan) and a 1977 interview he did about Star Wars, plus fandom in the movies and comics.
In episode two of my "In A World" series I talk about movies and television shows celebrating anniversaries in 2022. I start with the best buddy cop movie ever made as it celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022. I also talk about everyone's favorite British spy as it enters six decades on the big screen. Of course there are several television series that are also celebrating anniversaries. Married With Children, starred Ed O'Neill as Al Bundy who sold women shoes and scored four touchdowns in one game. M*A*S*H, ran for eleven seasons about the doctors and nurses of the 4077th, set in the Korean war that only lasted for three years as it turns fifty. Space, the final frontier as a new generation of Star Fleets best warped on to television as just the second live action Star Trek series with a new crew and new captain. Join me as I talk about the franchise's on the big and small screen that have been a part of my world.
"In a world" three words that some may remember hearing during movie trailers is the title of my first solo podcast, as I let everyone in on what and why I love movies and television and what influenced my choices.
