Description

We're Eamon & Bec! We’ve cultivated a community of 1M+ on YouTube, created Habit, and most importantly became new parents to Frankie Lee. Our lives have changed immensely in these past few years but through it all, our roots have deepened.

While we've always shown up authentically online, there’s so much more of us that we want to share with our community. Reroot is a safe space where we explore the essence of who we are as individuals. As seekers of community, we hope this podcast continues to be an extension of our mission to foster open, healthy conversations.

This week, we’ve made the trip over to Kate Albrecht & Joey Zehr’s house. You may know them better as the duo behind the YouTube channel Mr. Kate, where they take you on a journey through life, style, interior design, and DIY. Kate & Joey open up about taking a pause from the constant hustle and reconnecting with themselves. We dive into topics like health struggles, the pressures of perfectionism, the evolution of their parenting style, and how they inspire their son Moon to embrace his creativity. If we had to sum this conversation up, it’s that you can’t have it all in life. May this episode inspire you to find your balance and embrace life’s ups and downs. 🫶 Join the Reroot Community: Instagram - www.instagram.com/rerootpod TikTok - www.tiktok.com/@rerootpod Reroot Facebook Group - www.facebook.com/groups/1784427378276987 Watch the podcast on YouTube: https://youtu.be/9i6IbsBfbJo 0:00 - intro 3:15 - Kate’s hiding something 6:06 - taking a step back 12:47 - you can’t have it all 20:00 - their inward journey 25:50 - health issues relating to work 31:13 - self expression through fashion 37:31 - delegation and managing teams 46:40 - trauma from first birth 54:37 - trying not to screw up our kids 59:52 - is Hawaii what you wanted it to be 1:03:35 - seeing our Adsense go down 1:06:20 - being the caregiver is traumatic 1:09:50 - putting effort in pays off 1:13:09 - raising a screen free child 1:22:21 - the furniture line 1:28:53 - you have to be delulu 1:35:00 - Real Talk 1:34:34 - Real Talk 1:40:00 - BTS of the name reveal Learn more about your ad choices. The rawness and vulnerability Lee shares makes podcast sting even more. A beautiful magnificent soul who inspires so many with her love of life. We are all fragile in our own way. Much LoVe 💖🙏💔

Really enjoyed this episode guys thank you so much❤️🌟 and about the covid situation, Eamon don't be mad! I live in Iran, from the start untill this day we have been in lockdown for only 1 or 2 mounts, and lockdowns not like every where else (just closing some shops and restaurants)... we are not ALLOWED to use the vaccines, so our government don't care about our lives at all. Just imagine how angry we are... Me as a 22 years old girl am just doing my best to get out of here! My brother lives in Vancouver my sister in Melbourne Australia and we choosed to be separated and miss each other every day rather than being in this situation together.

Such a great episode, you two! What a great way to start up the podcast again. It sounds like Eamon's "gut joke" made the final take! I'm a woman in my mid-40s and I thought it was hilarious. You too are just keeping it real! Looking forward to joining the Facebook group to keep the conversation going and hopefully you will keep sharing more episodes! See you next Monday! ❤️
