Transitioning from fossil fuels to alternative energy solutions will not happen overnight. The International Renewable Energy Agency is an intergovernmental organisation that supports countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future. This year marks the second Singapore-IRENA High-Level Forum which will focus on much needed investments in the region.  IRENA has highlighted that by 2050, a total of US$33 trillion of additional investment—an increase of 30%—will be required to be on track for a 1.5°C pathway.
