Nicole Vergos and Nick Smit are the founders of Smergos - a social movement and enterprise dedicated to breaking down barriers and building bridges between those with and without disabilities. A chat with Clara Bütow on the importance of living a more sustainable, low-waste life. Clara Bütow is passionate about the social dimension of climate change and is an advocate for climate justice. She is also the founder of Impact Revolution, an NGO focused on environmental awareness campaigns and citizen engagement using art, creativity, and empowerment. Clara is a (TEDx) speaker on climate action, plastic pollution, sustainable living, and citizen engagement, and facilitates workshops on sustainable business models and campaigning. Nikiforova is a systemic brand consultant and author. With more than 20 years of experience in brand management, she is a pioneer in Animaway Branding and Brand Systems Leadership - two business tools that intersect branding with systems thinking. In 2020, Suzana published her first book Animaway Branding: a Conscious Business Paradigm for a Sustainable World where she walks us through her Animaway Branding philosophy. In this episode, we meet Ibrahim Al-Marashi, who is visiting Professor at the School of Global and Public Affairs of IE University. He is an associate professor at California State University San Marcos. He is a co-author of Iraq’s Armed Forces: An Analytical History (Routledge, 2008), The Modern History of Iraq (Routledge, 2017), and A Concise History of the Middle East (Routledge, 2018). He is best known as the author of an article which was plagiarised by the British government in a 2003 briefing document entitled Iraq: Its Infrastructure of Concealment, Deception and Intimidation (see Dodgy Dossier).   He is interviewed by Aldara Vazquez, a first year IE University student. Her deep interest in languages and International affairs has encouraged her to study International Relations. The way she was raised also sparked in her a particular curiosity for the human essence. Thus, in this episode she wanted to blend these two fields in an attempt to address the latest events related to COVID-19 and how these have affected both our personal and professional lives. In this episode, we will meet Pavel Stulik. Having suffered a life-threatening bout of the Epstein Barr, Stuchlik was forced to quit his previous career as a professional cyclist. Experimenting with entrepreneur-like ventures, and amassing a venture of $1 million at the age of 21, Stuchlik combined his traits of charm, grit, and resilience into becoming the owner of OrangeTheory Fitness (a wellness franchise boasting more than 1,000 locations worldwide). He found his passion in Music Therapy becoming a world wide DJ at the top clubs in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, and even performing at Burning Man. As an electronic dance music DJ and producer, Pavel Stuchlik goes by the alias, NOA | AON. He also set out for some soul searching and became a Wim Hof Method Instructor, and combines the breathing techniques and cold immersion with transformative music to allow people to break through their greatest fears doubts, and anxiety.
