Retrograde Amnesia: Comprehensive JRPG Retrospective

A man who lives by the skies? There is nothing more honorable than that. Well, except for breaking up with dad, telling mom goodbye, renewing the spirit of adventure, vowing to find all of the Moon Crystals, starting Fina at level 1, knitting for the whole game, cooking lunch with our eyes closed, being the guy who everyone is talking about, beating Domingo to discoveries, receiving the Black Spot, buying Secondary Cannons for the fighting boat, meeting a goth bounty hunter with awesome hair, recognizing that scar anywhere, and collecting too many little guys. This is my chance to find out what's really out there. 00:00:00 My Hero Christopher 00:04:02 Intro 00:05:32 Goodbye Forever, Sky Pirate Isle 00:17:48 Return to Sky Pirate Isle 00:23:31 Sailors' Island Check In 00:36:40 Piastol 00:48:46 Real Net 00:52:49 Outro Patreon: patreon.com/retroam Bluesky: @retrogradeamnesia.bsky.social YouTube: www.youtube.com/@RetrogradeAmnesia E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.retrogradeamnesia.com

If you can heal a boat, you can kill a boat. After we realized that, we tried slipping through the door by the skin of our teeth, liberating treasure that could help the needy, asking Fina about her "mission," calling upon 666, interpreting sketches of an ancient civilization, learning of The Rains of Destruction, favoring moon-based lore, setting out on a crystal quest, tolerating an annoying pet, checking in with the kids, loving a lazy bum, realizing Cupil is a Chewbacca situation, eating moonstones, and making sure all pirates are accounted for. I guess this is your chance to see what lies beyond the sunset. 00:00:00 Anime Shoes 00:02:11 Intro 00:04:05 Desperate Escape 00:07:03 Owned. 00:08:41 Lookout Island Lore Dump 00:27:16 Cupil 00:30:37 Sky Pirate Isle Check In 00:35:51 Sky Pirate Hideout Check In 00:44:21 Real Net 00:46:52 Outro Patreon: patreon.com/retroam Bluesky: @retrogradeamnesia.bsky.social YouTube: www.youtube.com/@RetrogradeAmnesia E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.retrogradeamnesia.com

If the gate closes, we're all dead. To break through, we'll have to practice looking through the looking glass, overselling the aristocracy, commissioning a silver toilet, lying about our family, eating delicious white bread, seeing a train for the first time, face-planting after a bridge leap, considering the Train Level, fighting on top of a moving train, taking off the cape, hard-walking for a fight, kicking down the door, falling over, giving the cops our real name, explaining piracy to fascists, exiting through the entrance, and finally firing the harpoon cannon. You did all this, just for me? 00:00:00 Anime Kid (derogatory) 00:01:35 Intro  00:04:22 Upper City Valua 00:17:35 Galcian Mad 00:19:56 Rail Car 00:29:01 Fina's Car 00:40:13 Little Jack To The Rescue 00:44:46 Little Jack vs Valuan Cruiser 00:49:39 Real Net 00:55:30 Outro Patreon: patreon.com/retroam Bluesky: @retrogradeamnesia.bsky.social YouTube: www.youtube.com/@RetrogradeAmnesia E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.retrogradeamnesia.com

Why do you not rejoice with us? What's stopping you, and also us, from proceeding through the shitpipe, placating the lower class with public executions, killing the warden of spells, taking no prisoners, entering a secret sewer room, seeing a train for the first time, telling mother this country is wrong, making the empress too mean, expanding the meaning of "impossible," verbally whipping another motherboy, scattering six Moon Crystals across the world, trying to prevent nuclear proliferation, wondering what Ramirez did to Fina, and realizing we have completely ruined the world's only sewage processing plant. Let's lay low for a little while. 00:00:00 Well, At Least He's Dead 00:01:53 Intro 00:04:36 Coliseum Execution 00:07:22 Rescue Operation 00:16:21 Sewer Escape 00:19:05 Secret Sewer Room 00:28:58 Goodbye, Sewers 00:34:01 Fina's at the Imperial Palace 00:50:03 Real Net 00:59:33 Outro Patreon: patreon.com/retroam Bluesky: @retrogradeamnesia.bsky.social YouTube: www.youtube.com/@RetrogradeAmnesia E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.retrogradeamnesia.com

If you don't like my ship, you can find yourself another one. While you're looking for it, listen to us as we're making dad pay for the hotel room, relaxing after a hard day, finding a dialogue divergence point, making decisions swiftly, clasping hands to boost up a jumper, chasing a pervert across rooftops, pooping straight into hell, completing the countdown to sewer, knowing there's always a way out of a storm, donning dot eyes, narrating the scene, swiping away chalk dust, thinking some poop looks edible, slicing through gelatinous waste, and traveling all the way back to Lower City to see if anyone has anything new to say. I just want you to see something interesting before you die. 00:00:00 Volcano Girls  00:02:19 Intro 00:04:15 Lower Valua Inn 00:14:11 Peeping Thomas 00:17:05 Pervert Interrogation 00:29:50 Lower City 00:33:40 Catacomb Sewers 00:42:06 Bleigock 00:47:39 Better Check On Lower City 00:49:23 Real Net  Patreon: patreon.com/retroam Bluesky: @retrogradeamnesia.bsky.social YouTube: www.youtube.com/@RetrogradeAmnesia E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.retrogradeamnesia.com
