Description

From prisons to protests, immigration to the environment, Peabody Award-winning Reveal goes deep into the pressing issues of our times. The Atlantic says “the experience of each episode is akin to a spoonful of sugar, even when it’s telling a story about Richard Spencer’s cotton farms or a man’s final days as a heroin addict.” Reveal is a project of The Center for Investigative Reporting and is co-produced with PRX. The show is hosted by Al Letson and partners with reporters and newsrooms around the world, including The Washington Post, ProPublica, APM, The Marshall Project and The Investigative Fund. Reveal is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and has won many broadcast journalism awards, including a duPont and three national Emmys.

interesting epi, although towwards the end when interviewing the redneck, Reveal loses some credibility with me. Granted this redneck, Keabler I think his name is, does go too far on the Muslims taking over our schools conspiracy, it is in fact something that is happening and I've witnessed it first hand. When looking at thebexyreme side of Islam, certain tactics rely on the long game. My sister in Law went through this with her daughter. One day her daughter came home from school asking her mom to help on her history homework. So as she was helping and going through her book she noticed a lot of inaccuracies, most continents and countries were renamed with Muslim in from of their names, reciting the Muslim prayer excepting Islam was in the book and many other instances that were not true and pitting Islam as the victors and in the right. She decided to look into it and they tried to get her to stop bit she didn't and took it further and was able to get on the school board that decides what books are taught in her child's district. Come to find out the publisher of this history book is a Muslim family owned business that pushed the Islam narrative very heavily. Thankfully she was able to get that book not only taken out of her kids school district but was able to get that and many other books published by this company out of school curriculum.

You have seen nothing. Understand, nothing. I can only hope that if you work in these fields that the damage you've done is some day healed.

Let me be clear. As a victim of abuse who nobody believed. Who everyone told me my mother wasn't abusive. You are so very wrong and your attitude causes very real harm. This is a recipe for disaster.

Parental alienation is absolute bullshit. This actually makes me so viciously angry. If I was ever to get my hands on these judges they would end up seriously hurt.

Heather Ramsey it shouldn't be up to a bureaucrat to decide if a teenager is lying about abuse. it's clear that family courts have wayyyyy too much power that it allows personal biases to affect decisions. obviously PA exists, but the government should have as little say as possible when it comes to taking sides in an ending marriage.

sometimes I wish after the civil war we brought all slaves North and let the south leave the union. To this day they produce little, are ranked the lowest in most categories and are the poorest but they love to keep hate alive. If we let the south leave today they'd be bankrupt in 10 years. It's no wonder the north has all the best universities, tech, engineering, arts, media, science, real estate, high paying jobs. the north pays the nation's bills, the south is a welfare state

this is one of the most heart breaking stories I've ever heard. I know this happens in every city but rarely is it reported from the kids point of view. As a father of 2 public school girls in grade 6 and 9 it's like my kids school is on another world. my kids go to one of the best option schools in the nation. 85% of them go to college. 100% graduate. my kids have only received As. my kids play multiple sports, have food, overflowing support and encouragement. I'm in tears knowing these kids simply have no chance. no one seems to care. I'm going t to do something about it. I can't go about my easy day while this is happening on the other side of my city. I can't thank the producers of this piece enough. I am going to volunteer at a challenges school and maybe I can save a life. I wish everyone could hear this story. I'll be sharing it with my family. thank you

So these companies are all racist? What a passive aggressive report 5hat fails to mention anything about education/STEM qualifications amongst ethnicity. I like how they mention Google has trouble retaining black workers but offer no explanation, why? Also Kelly got the promotion she coveted after 4 years at the largest tech company in the US then leaves, for a smaller company?!? Presumably for more opportunity?!? Sounds like teenage angst to me.

Nick Costa Dude journalists increasing what we know about the inner workings of corporations and increasing transparency is almost always a good thing espeically in the lopsided form of capitalism we have in the US. Musk may have had some good ideas but objectively he's got some obvious issues and should be scrutinized. Don't be a sheep for him or a company. If you have a Tesla and enjoy it, cool. That dosent mean you should worship men as idols or take unfavorable reporting as personal attacks.
