Description

A spiritual and anti-capitalist podcast created with the firm belief that spirituality is necessary for a successful revolution and has been watered down to fit the neo-liberal dogma of preserving the status quo. This podcast aims to dispel neo-liberal notions of spirituality engendering passivity and instead recognizes and highlights the liberatory elements of spiritual practice.

This week's episode is about the intersections of science and spirituality. In it, I debunk some conspiratorial myths prevalent in the spiritual community and try to show a common path forward for science and spirituality because many scientific discoveries seem to be proof of spiritual concepts.
In this episode, I take a look at the ancient Chinese tradition of Taoism and how this worldview relates to and connects with modern Critical Theory. I examine the way in which the resistance to and abolition of oppressive systems can be seen as an integral part of the Tao.
In this festive episode, I dissect the ancient spiritual origins of Christmas as well as look into the modern-day consumerist spectacle into which this holiday was turned. I will also discuss the way capitalism eradicates and/or commodifies everything it comes across by subsuming and reselling any subversive or progressive elements.
This episode is about the relationship between British colonialism and the terms Hindu and Hinduism. It will furthermore delve into the history of the Indian subcontinent and the spiritual traditions of its Indigenous inhabitants, as well as touch on the issue of the draconian caste system and the worryingly growing topic of Hindu nationalism.
This week's episode discusses Dharma and Dharmic roles as understood in Hinduism, and connects this to sociopolitical ideas regarding social standing and spiritual development. It also calls into question to antitheistic sentiments of the modern left.
In this week's episode, I discuss the concepts of cyclic existence and the Dharma as understood by Tibetan Buddhists and relate some of their key aspects to political activism and the capitalist mode of production. I will also go on a short tangent about Karma and justice as it pertains to anti-capitalist activism and cyclic existence.
This week, I discuss the powerful concept of chakras and the subtle energy that flows through them and is all around us. I will provide an overview of each of the seven chakras, and talk about their influence on spiritual development and practices. Furthermore, I will be relating chakras and their spiritual attributes to the leftist concept of mutual aid, and present some mutual aid ideas that you can start implementing today!
In this week's episode, we descend into the lairs of Hades and Anubis to talk about the most inevitable part of life: Death. I will discuss our perception of death and the way in which capitalism has managed to encroach even on the way we handle our corpses. During the episode, I'll also showcase the connection between the entire issue of death and the idea of vibrations and the vibrational universe as put forth by Alan Watts.
In this week's episode of Revolutionary Spirituality, Conspiracy Talk debuts with the topic of the sunken city of Atlantis and the Emerald Tablets of Thoth. I discuss the spiritual elements of the conspiracy, the content of the tablets, and the historical context.
In this week's episode, I dive into the topic of capitalist realism and how spiritual practices can help us escape its paradigm! We are going to be discussing the essence of capitalist realism, and the ways in which it can be combatted, ranging from ascended consciousness to the Mind at Large. Another topic of discussion will be the ego, the way we interact with it, and why our perception of it may be warped!
In the second episode of Revolutionary Spirituality, we will delve into the topics of Buddhist meditation, organized labor, and how the two are related. We will talk about the various stages of meditation and what their impact are, how they alter your perception, and what this human experience truly is. We will also discuss some ways in which you can utilize the power of an organized workforce to get your demands met by management.
This first episode of Revolutionary Spirituality will mainly serve as an introduction to the ideas of spiritual class struggle and spiritual communalism. It will also highlight some methods for meditating. Spirituality has been coopted by right-wingers and neo-liberals, and has lost its egalitarian and liberatory roots, which is why it needs to be brought back to the left, to the people! This episode will discuss how that could look in practice, and why we even need spirituality as a political movement.
