Rhythm Game Ramblings

On this episode I am joined by SpeakEZ/Jonah (https://x.com/InstallingLife) the owner of SpeakEasy Smashcade (https://www.facebook.com/groups/845616975771273/), an amazing fun house filled with cabs and cool shit everywhere. It truely is something you can only experience in real life, we talk about the origins and how it came to be, and the reality of having that many arcade machines. And ofc we get a bit off topic as per usual :P Jonah is a super chill person who does a lot for this community and people like this really help create a safe and social environment for all of us. We do really all just want to play games and have fun, maybe this can inspire some of you to host some social gatherings in your community or just make some new friends! Be kind to everyone <3

In this episode our host FabSab44 talks with a pillar of the Minnesota rhythm game community Luke (https://x.com/LKLKRVLN and @lukelukerevolution on discord)! He shares his experiences buying and owning a DDR Max cab, now a DDR white cab, two B2L pads and working at David and Brothers (you know who I mean).

1x No Bar? Coin Lines? DDRFreak? MAX300? metrics.ini? ?!!! ... On this episode I am joined by the wonderful JulieQ (https://x.com/jujukoo) an amazing old school DDR player who has an insane amount of stories and DDR trivia to share with us. This one really is a treat. Also the aaron in Japan book we mentioned in the episode is https://www.amazon.com/Counting-Combos-History-Japanese-Community/dp/1475003161 that goes over the history of DDR in Japan If anyone has any ideas or wants to come on the podcast feel free to DM me on Discord (saberwing440) or X/twitter

In this episode FabSab44 and cirbro/warpdrive (from the Dancer in The Dark pod) two very longtime players who enjoy uppers talk about their motivations for the game and really just ramble. Ultimate yapping duo right here. Don't forget to follow Cirbro https://x.com/cirbro https://open.spotify.com/show/54rDi2mpf4HqVqnjCny7QF?si=834ef45a21e2408c&nd=1&dlsi=36ae2c667bc4457f

An intro to this podcast, tldr I will be yapping about rhythm games and life so feel free to come along on this run on sentence or don't. This isn't going to be a very educational or fact based podcast so if you are looking for that this is probably not for you. I just like to talk, first podcast in a long time though so please excuse the 100 "umms" and feel free to let me know if the audio is fine. SPOILER ep1 will probably drop on Saturday with a special guest
