Rise with Mital

Helping you rise in love, life, and leadership—without guilt, burnout, or forgetting who you are underneath it all.

This isn’t just a podcast about parenting. It’s not another productivity hack show either.

It’s about you—the woman behind all the roles you carry. The one holding so much together on the outside, but quietly wondering:
“Where did I go?”

You love your people. You’re great at what you do.
But deep down, you want more. More connection. More meaning. More of you in your own life.

I’m Mital Patel—life and success coach, mom of two, full-time leader, cancer warrior in healing, and a woman who spent decade in silent survival mode while my husband battled addiction.

I know what it’s like to put everyone else first and leave your own dreams on the back burner. To achieve and still feel empty. To look strong, but feel exhausted.

This podcast is for the woman who wants it all—but not at the cost of herself.

Every Monday, I share honest stories, mindset shifts, and simple, soul-aligned systems that helped me rise from burnout, breakdowns, and “busy” culture—and into a life that actually fits.

Because you don’t have to choose between success and self. You don’t have to trade connection for ambition. You get to have both.

If you’re craving honest conversations, healing laughter, and a path to thrive in all you do—you’re in the right place.
Let’s rise—together.

Episode 0: the season of loud...

Well… look who’s back. 👀 If you’ve been here since my Raise to Rise days, you know I’ve never been afraid to talk about the messy, the magical, and the downright human parts of life. And if you’re new here — hi, I’m Mital: cancer survivor, parent coach, professional plot-twist navigator, and the friend who will make you laugh, cry, and rethink your life before your coffee’s even lukewarm. This podcast is Rise with Mital — where we talk love, life, and leadership without loosing yourself. You’ll get unfiltered stories, practical mindset shifts, and the reminder you didn’t know you needed: you’re not broken… you’re just in the middle of your next rise. In this trailer, I’m spilling: Why I’m back behind the mic (hint: it involves more plot twists than Netflix). Who this podcast is for (spoiler: probably you). What you can expect this season (think: raw conversations, tools you can actually use, and zero sugar-coating). Hit follow, grab your tea (or coffee warmed up 45th time — I don’t judge), and get ready… because this season, we rise. Loud.

A Bit of Reflection for the New Year

What would you tell yourself about 2022? How honest can you be about the lessons you learned throughout this year? Personally, I should be planning and talking about the upcoming new year but instead, I'm doing a bit of reflection. I was just thinking if I could sit down for a cup of tea with the past year and talk to myself about it, what would I tell? I would really love to tell her that there is nothing worth sacrificing your mind, body, and soul. And at the same time, I would share with her all my learnings. For today’s episode, I will do just that. This episode is a recap of my 2022 and I will be sharing the top 10 lessons of this year. But these are not just simple learnings. These are lessons that I'm going to cherish and things that I am taking with me in 2023. And I also encourage you to take it with you for this new year. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. Trust and Inspiration in Parenting

As parents, we are not going to be with our kids 24/7 for the rest of their lives. Instead of commanding and controlling their lives all the time, we should rather equip our kids with the tools they need to empower themselves to make the choices that are best for them. In today’s episode, I will be talking about how I was impacted by the book“Trust and Inspire: How Truly Great Leaders Unleash Greatness in Others” by Stephen M. R. Covey. I highly recommend it since you are going to love the insights. It is going to inspire you to lead. You will learn how to become a trustworthy and inspired leader so your kids can then rely on you and learn from you to do the same. To learn more about control and command leadership, please read: “Trust and Inspire: How Truly Great Leaders Unleash Greatness in Others” by Stephen M. R. Covey I am inviting all parents to my parenting community called The Parenting Lab. Here you will be empowered to create your own solution. You will have a coach side by side to guide you and to get the resources out of you. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. Leadership In Family Life And Parenting

Parenting is the most challenging leadership role out there. In fact, it is a leadership journey that never ends. But what does leadership have to do with parenting? There are so many myths about leadership where people believe that the term is just for Fortune 500 companies and high-flying entrepreneurs. But in reality, anyone can be a leader. For this reason, there are many leadership concepts that can be applied in parenting. We can utilize these concepts to inspire our kids and lead our family life. I believe anyone can inspire others into action or growth since leadership can be learned, nurtured, and mastered. In this episode, I will talk about leadership within family life and parenting, and how we can maximize the opportunities that we have with ourselves and our children. Join our monthly membership where you will learn new parenting strategies and tools, and connect every month with a community of parents. Empower yourself and your kids by signing up for The Parenting Lab. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. Investing In Yourself Instead Of Spending On Black Friday

It is that time of the year when retailers start bombarding us with ads for Black Friday sales. And I am sure that like every other year you are tempted to spend. While it's enticing to take advantage of all these sales and buy a bunch of stuff we don't really need, I want to encourage you to think about investing in something else. Something non-material that will actually help you reach your goals. I'm talking about coaching. Knowledge and the tools that can help you get ahead and make lasting changes in your life. This Black Friday I want to share something big that I created. It’s a coaching program for parents called The Parenting Lab where parents can raise themselves along with their kids. Just like “it takes a village to raise a child”, it also takes a village to raise a parent. This is not your typical Black Friday sale. This is an investment for you. Don’t wait too long! The Parenting Lab will be only available for the next 48 hours. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. The Myth Of Motherhood With Haley

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you truly believe you are being seen, heard, and understood? Mothers often keep their emotions bottled up in order to show their bravery in front of their children. They want the best for their children, so they will go to any length to ensure that they are on the right path. However, moms occasionally want to be seen as well, which is why we created this episode. In today’s episode, we have invited Haley. She is a content creator who shares a mother's life from a mom’s perspective. Haley will share how she became a content creator and built a community of mothers supporting each other. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. How To Deal With Guilt And Shame

It is natural for parents to feel guilty when they leave their children for a vacation, a business trip, or even for making poor decisions. This guilt is because we know we could do better leads to self-destructive behavior and, in the worst case, shaming ourselves. You can feel guilty and shame yourself, but we also have the freedom to choose again, to make a new choice, and learn from the past. In today’s episode, we will define what guilt is, the difference between guilt and shame, and what parents should do whenever their children feel guilty or ashamed. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. The Four Tendencies Framework: Facilitate A Growth Environment For Your Kids

One of the most difficult challenges we face as parents on a daily basis is how to get our children to listen. When we say that we want our children to listen to us, we mean that we want them to follow whatever instructions, recommendations, or tasks we give them. Not just with our children, but in any relationship. We all want others to comply with our requests or expectations. In today’s episode, I want to share a phenomenal concept that I learned from a book called “The Four Tendencies” by Gretchen Rubin. This can be a tool to facilitate a growth environment for your kids, guide them, and help them to make the best choice for them. Visit risewithmital.com for full show notes. Designing Our Home to Meet Our Children’s Needs

The home environment of a child has a significant impact on their development and overall well-being. A positive home learning environment encourages children and young people to be curious about learning and to believe in themselves. As parents, we must be responsible for providing a growth environment for our children, and one way to do so is to design our home to be conducive to learning and let our kids learn to play independently. In today’s episode, we will uncover five zones that we can start transforming in our house to build a space for conducive learning and at the same time help our kids play independently. What should you do if your child is acting out? Our kids have strong emotions that they want to express, and throwing tantrums or acting out is one way for them to show it.
