Joe Patrick, 92.9 The Game Braves Insider, joined Robb Tribble & Bryant McFadden to talk about the Braves. In talking about the Braves,Robb starts the conversation off by talking about the details of the Mookie Betts trade to the Dodgers. The deal is not set in stone yet, but Joe believes that the trade will go through but things need to be ironed out. Bryant asked where did that leave the Braves and the rest of the National League with one of th stars in MLB joining an already stacked team in the LA Dodgers. Joe says that, "it is certainly a blow, especially to Braves fans who want to think that the team has a chance at a World Series title." Joe does say that this move by the Dodgers may make the Braves' front office do something that would make a splash. Robb asked Joe if the Braves were better than they were the last time we saw them in the playoffs against the Cardinals, which was not good. The Cardinals beat the Braves 13-1 scoring 10 runs in the first inning. Joe said that the Braves are not better than they were before. Joe says that it depends on if Marcell Ozuna can do for the Braves what Josh Donaldson did. Freeman had one of his best years which was due to the fact that Freeman was protected by Donaldson. If Ozuna can be as productive and can protect Freddie in the line up then yes they would be a better team than last year. They signed the best closer on the market in Will Smith and reassured their bullpen.
Robb & B-Mac talk about what the Falcons should do during draft night. They currently have three picks in the first day. B-Mac says that defense is the first pick. Bryant also talked about little beep-beep. Tribble and McFadden talk about Kirby Smart having another top-five recruiting class but it has yet to pan out as a championship yet. B-Mac thinks this is the time for UGA to take that step further. Jason Longshore joins the show to talk about the Atlanta United's match against Birmingham.

Robb Tribble and Carl Dukes of Dukes and Bell reflect on the life of Kobe “Bean” Bryant, as we learn today that the NBA Legend & his second oldest daughter, Gianna Bryant has lost their life due to a helicopter crash. Carl covered Kobe for years during his 20 year NBA career and was able to talk to people who were close to Kobe, like Shaquille O’Neal. Carl, while emotional, was able to talk about the man, not the player, which was Kobe Bryant. He said, while he did not speak to Shaq, he knew that he was hurt because that was his, “little brother.” Robb and Carl was able to talk about the cost of greatness. They talked about how his attention to detail on the court and his will & determination to be great is what made him successful in his career after basketball. Carl and Robb also said how that drive to be great comes with sacrifices, friendships, relationships, family and time. We are all in shock and mourning over the loss of one of the NBA’s finest ambassadors that ever was, Kobe Bryant. He not only was involved in the new young crop of NBA players, like our very own Trae Young; but he was also an advocate of the WNBA and Women’s Basketball, largely due to his daughter whom we lost as well. Prayers are to his Vanessa and his family as they mourn their husband, father, son, and friend. Gone but never forgotten. Kobe Bryant. Mamba Out.
