We all loved her, we all miss her.  Whitney Houston was born to sing and to party and she did them both until she couldn't.  Such an amazing talent and such a sad sad story but we need to celebrate the music and legacy she left behind for us all to continue to enjoy through good times and bad.  Crack Is Whack Listen to Whitney's Music Jesse on The Gram Thelonious on The Gram
Today's subject is a man you may have heard stories about and you probably assumed those stories were not true.  They were folklore or tall tales or maybe something kind of like that happned once.  Nope.  It's all true when it comes to GG Allin.  Hold on tight, this one is wild. Mac Miller did not even make it to become a member of the 27 club.  Thrust into the limelight at the age of 16 it wasn’t so much the pressure of fame and the next best album. He had the natural talent to make album after album not just for himself but for anyone around him who was down to collaborate.  But with some artists Its not the success that's gets them it's the access to excess that make them become prisoners of their own creative drives.   Jesse on The Gram Thelonious on The Gram Mac Miller Tiny Desk Concert Mac Miller on Spotify YouTube: Mac Miller Final Hours
This is one of the roughest stories in Rock N Roll history.  Ian Curtis's story is bleak, beautiful, and far too short.  It's hard to call him a front man when he kind of hid from the crowd behind his forearms head staring at the ground.  Or he danced to himself oblivious to all around him.  Regardless of who he was performing for or who he was performing with the impact of his works his actions his songs are still being felt today.  Please enjoy our conversation about Ian Curtis of Joy Division.  Below are some links of random stuff we may have mentioned during the podcast.  Thank you for listening Stroszek Film Iggy Pop: The Idiot Joy Division on Spotify Thelonious on The Gram Jesse on The Gram
