The Jeremy White Show welcomes Eric Bloom from Blue Oyster Cult!
We talk about some famous concert bills they've been apart of, how Tony Iomi is holding up the release of the infamous concert they did together, losing all their vintage gear during Hurricane Sandy, how GHOST STORIES was recorded and made from vintage analog tapes and so much more! He also tells stories of some bands that weren't neccerasily that nice to them over the years... all of that and more!
After the resounding success of their 50th Anniversary celebration, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT is eagerly gearing up for an exciting new chapter in their storied career with the upcoming release of 'Ghost Stories.' This highly anticipated album marks a fitting finale to the recording legacy of one of rock’s most iconic fixtures from the past 50 years.
In a thrilling partnership with Frontiers Music, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT is set to captivate fans with a collection of reimagined and newly completed songs that span from 1978-2016. These musical treasures, long considered 'lost gems' by BLUE ÖYSTER CULT enthusiasts, were originally recorded between 1978 and 1983, except for one track from 2016, "If I Fell." Also included is the only known studio recording of their concert classic “Kick Out the Jams” (MC5 cover). Some of the material is from sessions workshopping material for an album, some is from performance rehearsals. All were recorded once in the hopes that someday they'd see the light of day.
George Geranios, the band's original audio engineer and an integral part of the band's golden years, co-produced the original 1978-83 recordings along with BÖC. All were originally recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape. They were later transferred to digital audio, which is when modern AI and magical musical talents met and the collection of vintage multi-track recordings was de-mixed, re-mixed, and produced by Steve Schenck and Richie Castellano to become 'Ghost Stories.
Work in the studio for the album was completed by Richie Castellano along with remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser, both Albert Bouchard and Rick Downey appear on drums with additional overdubs recorded by Joe Bouchard. All these original lineup members appearing on 'Ghost Stories,' create a musical journey that traverses decades.
To celebrate this exciting announcement, the band shares the single "So Supernatural" along with a new music video that has a super cool blend of classic rock and modern AI.

The Jeremy White Show welcomes Dee Snider and Mickey Thomas from Starship for our CHRISTMAS EPISODE!
We talk with Dee about writing a HUGE Christmas song for Celine Dion, Mickey's thoughts on legacy rock acts retiring and who will be playing stadiums in 10 years, what Dee thinks of KISS retiring! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Dee Snider: He’s Not Gonna Take It will be available at retailers
everywhere on November 21, 2023.
The following journey would forever forge the name Dee Snider alongside the battle for freedom of expression—in the arts and beyond. This new graphic novel charts that one-man war throughout Dee’s life. From a childhood where he was frequently silenced, through the early efforts to stifle his band’s music, to the open warfare of the PMRC hearings in Washington DC, and his current efforts on social media, He’s Not Gonna Take It tells the story of why free speech is so important to this man who has perpetually fought for it—even when it endangered everything that was important to him.
MICKEY will release “A Classic Christmas,” a two-sided single (available digitally only, via Symphonic Distribution) on which he distinctively lights up such holiday gems as “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Pre-save “A Classic Christmas” HERE.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Thanks Mitch for the amazing interview and getting me back to Grim Reaper.
how is this rock?
For god's sake, the sitar part he played on the album was ultra-simplistic. It's a creative album but made with minimal skills on a wide range of instruments.
"Owner of a Lonely Heart" was a terrible video and mediocre song, and the low point of Yes's career. Talk about something interesting, like Tales from Topographic Oceans. Now that's a work of art!
Had to ditch the Trunk podcast after listening to Rock Talk. When all my childhood heroes get into real conversations with Mitch it's entertaining and brings back memories. Mitch isn't stuck constantly bragging about who he knows , what he does or where he's been. He just knows the music the history the stars and shares all that with his audience. By far one of the best shows to listen and learn while enjoying the subject and realness of the artist.
