After a brilliant 2nd place finish in their inaugural WBBL campaign we preview the semi final action when the Caledonia Gladiators take on the Leicester Riders for a place at the o2. Joined on the Pod by Mitch, Hodgey and by WBBL Co- Commentator Rona Lightbody we look at how brilliant the 2022/23 season has been for the WBBL side and what we can expect.

Joined for this episode by Gladiator commentator Stuart Hodge and Mens Team Manager Mitchell Simpson as we discuss all things Playoff Match ups where the Caledonia Gladiators take on the Cheshire Phoenix. The 2 legged tie starts Friday night and ends with the final showdown Saturday Afternoon at The Emirates Arena.
On this episode we talk all things head 2 head. the Trophy Final and the key match ups for both teams. This has the potential to be an absolute classic playoff match up.

The Giants came to town on Sunday to take on the Gladiators. the home team Caledonia took the win by 9 points.
We spoke post match with Giants Captain Rahmon Fletcher and Coach Vince Macauley plus your Gladiator heroes. They all mentioned similar things about intensity of defence which must be great for the coaching staff to hear their own analysis in what was a high scoring game.
JB chatted about his rivalry with League GOAT Rahmon Fletcher plus we heard from the game mvp in Fahro. Plus much much more.

In this final part of 3 with Gladiators owner Steve Timoney we discuss the importance of history for the new owners. We also speak about on the court plans in terms of European Basketball, taking control of their own fixtures with the build of a purpose built basketball facilities, with the aim to make it the best in many ways and creating a short term home.
We talk about longevity of the squads and the plan to move away from complete new rosters each season and the plan to retain a large majority of the squads. The last thing I ask Steve is what is success to them and The Gladiators?
In part 2 we chat more about the BBL. How Steve feels the league need to raise the standards of fan engagement and the product on game day to fill arenas.
We discuss the need for greater broadcasting and the benefits Steve is seeing of 777 and the League inserting a CEO.
We talk more on the court performance and how Steve is seeing the BBL side develop under Coach Murray and how they have improved the package for the team on and off the court.

We hear how Kyle got started and the importance his Mum played in his early basketball life. We chat his different route to the pro league and the benefits he felt of playing down in England for his career. The joy Kyle had representing Scotland at 2 major events and how he enjoyed his summer playing 3x3.
We finish talking about this seasons BBL campaign and how much he is enjoying the battle between teams in an ever improving BBL and the Gladiators plan for the future.
