Check out Moorea Friedman... a 16-year-old who is just wise beyond her years. If you’ve ever thought, 'what was I doing at 16?' brace yourselves, because if you're anything like me, you're answer might not sound anything like Mooreas. We dive right into what it’s like growing up today, with the unique pressures of social media and all the intense comparison that comes with it. She opens up about dealing with an eating disorder, anxiety, and depression, all while juggling high school and a podcast of her own. Her show, Balancing Act: Life and Struggles of a Teenage Girl, is about creating a real, unfiltered space for teens dealing with mental health, and she’s bringing such a mature perspective to the table. I love how she talks about perfectionism and the need to be 'enough' in a world that’s constantly telling you otherwise. It’s inspiring, raw, and refreshingly honest. Mariah shares stories about her own journey and how she’s learning to navigate all the pressures around her. There’s something so relatable in her words - it reminds me of my own journey through boxing, chasing perfection, and learning to be okay with imperfection. We talk about those tricky moments of self-reflection, identity, and how to redefine resilience when life throws you a punch (or a few). This conversation isn’t just for the younger crowd; it’s a powerful reminder to us all that being vulnerable and embracing our struggles is where real strength comes from. So if you’re ready for a dose of teenage wisdom that might just make you rethink a few things, this episode is for you.   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au MOOREA FRIEDMAN Website: balancingact.life TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: www.tiffcook.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Alright, legends Bobby Cappuccio is back and we are talking about connection, purpose, the trap of 'being busy,' and the moments we let slip through our fingers because we think we'll get to them later. Spoiler alert: sometimes, later doesn’t come. Bobby opens up about some of his own regrets and missed connections, sharing how those experiences have shaped him. And here’s what really strikes me - it ain't about some massive life overhaul but about small, intentional moments. He talked about how trauma has shaped his need for control, and I could relate so much to that. I’d just come back from my own little 'reset'... walking slower, saying yes to things I’d usually brush off, feeling more present and creative than I have in a long time. Together, we tackle the real challenge of surrender and letting go of the need to always have a handle on everything, allowing yourself to just be in the experience. For Bobby and me, it’s about realising that stepping back and shifting your perspective isn’t just nice to have; it’s absolutely necessary for growth and resilience. Of course, we had a good chuckle about some of the less heavy stuff too. But all jokes aside, this conversation reminded me how important it is to live in the now, to let go of 'someday,' and to focus on the things that actually make us feel alive. So, if you’re ready to rethink how you spend your days, embrace a little more connection, and maybe just slow down enough to enjoy the journey, this episode is for you.    TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au PATRICK BONELLO Website: theselfhelpantidote.com TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: rollwiththepunches.com.au LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco      See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Righto, legends, buckle up because today, I'm rolling into a conversation with our good friend Patrick Bonello. If you’ve tuned in before, you know Patrick’s not just any guest - he’s one of those mates who brings a whole mix of laughter, deep thought, and the kind of tangents that make you wonder how you ended up laughing so hard in the first place. This ep? It’s all about the unexpected magic you find when you let go of the need to control everything. Patrick and I dive into our recent 'travels' - mine to India and his, well, into the world of life drawing as a model! Also, if you’ve ever thought staring into someone’s eyes for five minutes was intense, try doing it in a place where neither of you speaks the same language. Or, better yet, imagine letting a bunch of strangers draw every detail of you in a life drawing class. We chat about the thrill of finding connection in strange places, how stripping back the layers (sometimes literally) can teach you more about yourself, and why we both believe in embracing those out-of-the-blue interactions that shape who we are. Get ready for a chat that’ll leave you both chuckling and contemplating some big questions. Like, who’s in your circle, and are they bringing out the best in you? This episode is a shoutout to anyone who’s ready to say yes to life’s curveballs, connect with people on a deeper level, and maybe even let go of a bit of that control we all cling to.   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au PATRICK BONELLO Website: taichiathome.com.au TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: rollwiththepunches.com.au LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today’s episode is a doozy. I’ve got Terry Tucker on the mic, and if you think you’re about to hear just another life story, think again. Terry has indeed been through the ringer...  from years on the police force to facing a rare and relentless form of cancer that just wouldn’t quit. But true to form, nor would Terry. He’s still here, still living his best life, and he’s got one hell of a perspective on what it means to live fully, face fear, and redefine resilience. From the highs, the lows, and those gut-check moments where he had to choose between giving up and pressing forward, Terry opens up about how cancer has actually made him a better human, why he’s glad he never let go of his dreams, and how he’s found a way to put more good into the world than he ever thought possible. He talks about legacy, about emptying yourself into the world, about leaving things a little better than you found them. This is deep stuff that you and I love, and I promise, it’ll get you thinking. Mark Talukdar is a weapon of a peak performance coach who left everything behind at 18 to chase his dreams, landing in the US with little more than grit and determination. Mark’s story is raw, packed with moments of doubt, anger, and ultimately, transformation as he navigated homelessness, self-discovery, and a quest for success. We dig into his journey from survival mode to thriving as an entrepreneur and amateur bodybuilder. Mark shares his insights on identity, self-love, and the power of a name - yes, he literally threw a ‘naming ceremony’ to become the Mark we know today. His energy is infectious, and his message is clear: resilience isn’t about enduring pain; it’s about embracing the challenge and pushing the limits on what we believe is possible. After a good hearty chat with Michael O'Brien about finding life-long love the old school way with a personals ad in the newspaper (we never quite know where a conversation might start or finish on this show hey) we get into talking about life. The only thing scarier than almost dying can surely be the thought of only almost living, right? When I speak to people like Michael who have been landed with a pretty heavy hit from life and almost had theirs taken in the process, it leaves me wondering how many of us are only ‘almost living’ our whole lives. Living with worry, anxiety and fear around things that perhaps don’t really matter. Michael and I unpack how a near-fatal cycling accident shifted his entire perspective on life, work, and chasing that ever-elusive 'happiness.' He takes us through his journey from corporate hustle and grind to a life grounded in mindfulness, gratitude, and living fully in each moment. We also dig into his post-accident recovery, both physically and mentally, and how he found peace and purpose through small, daily practices like his life-changing ‘Pause, Breathe, Reflect’ method. From redefining success to embracing life's imperfections, Michael’s story is a powerful reminder that sometimes you’ve got to get knocked down to rise stronger than ever. Whether you’re a workaholic, a cyclist, or just someone who needs to slow the hell down, this conversation is for you (and certainly me).   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au MICHAEL O'BRIEN Website: michaelobrienshift.com TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: tiffcook.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Back again (freshly returned from my Himalaya trip) with a philosophical banter about all things life with Craig Harper and as always, I loved it. After my perspective shifting experience on the mountains recently, we got stuck into the big stuff yet again, like finding meaning and purpose in this momentary ride we're on.  Questioning if we really have to choose just one path, and why unlearning is just as important as learning.  Sponsored By Testart Family Lawyers   CRAIG HARPER Website: craigharper.net TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: rollwiththepunches.com.au LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In this episode, I’m chatting with the ah-mazing Tahlia Isaac, and trust me, her story is nothing short of an inspiration. From battling addiction and serving time in prison to becoming a fierce advocate for women re-entering society, Tahlia’s journey is raw, real, and powerful. She’s not just talking about change - she’s living it through her work with her charity, Strong. Empowered. Living Free (SELF). We get down to business around the nitty-gritty of her past, what pulled Tahlia down that path, and (more importantly) how she clawed her way back out. Tahlia shares how she’s using this lived experience to create real impact for other women going through the same struggles. We talk identity, forgiveness, and what it really takes to rebuild your life after hitting rock bottom. Enjoy! In this episode, I chat with these two chatty souls Samantha King and Jess Curtis from the I Hear You podcast about navigating emotions, relationships, and self-awareness in both personal and professional life. We kick off by exploring how we process conversations differently - whether we're in them or reflecting afterward - and the insights that come from each. From importance of speaking our feelings out loud, balancing being present with later reflection, and how honesty with ourselves and others is key. I share lessons I've taken from my own relationships and experience of how open conversations, especially around resentment, have been transformative. Samantha and Jess also talk about purpose, self-compassion, and the challenge of living up to societal expectations. It’s a cracker of a conversation about relationships, self-awareness, and finding balance in the chaos that is life.   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au SAM & JESS Podcast: I Hear You Podcast TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: tiffcook.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
If you think lifting heavy weights is just for bodybuilders and powerlifters, it’s time to smash that myth. Today, I’m rolling up my sleeves to chat with Dr. Mandy Hagstrom, a powerhouse in the world of strength training, research, and elite-level athleticism. She’s here to talk about why all women (yep, ALL of us) need to embrace the barbell and stop playing it safe with the light dumbbells. Mandy shares her journey from Olympic weightlifting to becoming a national champion powerlifter, balancing elite sport with the demands of academia, and why lifting heavy has a direct line to improving quality of life - even for cancer survivors. We dig deep into everything from the myths that hold women back in the gym, to how strength training can boost not just physical health but mental resilience, too. Oh, and did I mention we’re talking about running marathons, dealing with burnout, and how sometimes science just needs to evolve? Trust me, you’re going to walk away from this episode ready to lift heavy, push your limits, and rethink everything you thought you knew about strength.   TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au DR MANDY HAGSTROM Website: dr-mandy-hagstrom TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: tiffcook.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Negotiation... it’s a skill we all need, but let’s be real, most of us aren’t born with it. That’s why today, we’ve brought back our go-to expert, Nicole Davidson, to dive into the fine art of negotiation, conflict resolution, and managing the tricky balance of egos and emotions. In this ep, Nicole and I get down to the juicy stuff: the psychology behind negotiation, why your emotions (and theirs) can make or break a deal, and how knowing when to walk away might be your best move. My interest was piqued with her newest service - think of her as Judge Judy for small business disputes - giving a low-cost solution to avoid the courtroom while still getting things done. We even delve into the rise of AI in negotiations (ummmm yep, you might be negotiating with a bot and not even know it!). Whether you’re dealing with a business partner, negotiating a deal, or just trying to navigate daily conversations, Nicole’s insights will leave you thinking differently about the power of curiosity, listening, and asking the right questions.    TESTART FAMILY LAWYERS Website: testartfamilylawyers.com.au NICOLE DAVIDSON Website: nicoledavidsonnegotiation.com.au TIFFANEE COOK Linktree: linktr.ee/rollwiththepunches/ Website: tiffcook.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/tiffaneecook/ Facebook: facebook.com/rollwiththepunchespodcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/rollwiththepunches_podcast/ Instagram: instagram.com/tiffaneeandco    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ding, ding, ding! Round 2 with Dr. Donna Lyon, and this conversation is packed with power, vulnerability, and raw truth. Donna's back on the show, and boy oh boy has she achieved some amazing things since episode 220 when we first spoke.  We dive deep into her groundbreaking documentary Left, Right Hook, where Donna takes us behind the scenes of this raw and impactful film. A project that isn't just about boxing; it's about healing, empowerment, and giving voice to survivors of child sexual abuse. The film has made waves, including winning the Audience Award at the Melbourne International Film Festival. Donna talks about the challenges, the breakthroughs, and the deep discomfort of seeing herself on screen, capturing moments of vulnerability that continue to shift her perspective. Tears? Yep. I cried right throughout the film - a beautiful, heart-wrenching kind of cry that reminded me just how powerful storytelling and connection are. We unpack the therapeutic side of boxing, how stepping into the ring is about more than just the punches, and what it means to have agency in the healing process. Tune in as we talk trauma, boundaries, vulnerability, and the incredible power of giving voice to your pain. When it comes to Aussie female fighters, Taylah Gentzen is one I'm backing all the way. We go way back to our early amateur days, and today we’re chatting all things resilience, empowerment, and vulnerability. Taylah opens up about her journey from the boxing ring to becoming a mum, sharing the highs and lows, including a gut-wrenching loss that nearly made her walk away from the sport. But instead, she’s found that sweet spot between strength and vulnerability. We dig into how boxing has transformed her, the mental toughness it takes to step in the ring, and why feeling your emotions matters just as much as throwing punches. Taylah also shares her journey into motherhood with her fiancée, Lana, as they navigated the IVF process, choosing a donor, and the beautiful chaos of raising their little girl, Stevie. Dr. Stacy Sims is the absolute G.O.A.T. when it comes to women’s health and fitness. In this chat (that I'm SUPER excited about) we burrow down into the differences between how men and women respond to things like intermittent fasting and intense training. Spoiler alert: 'women aren’t just small men', and what works for the fellas can actually wreak havoc on our systems! Dr. Sims breaks it all down, from why we should focus on strength training (especially as we get older), and how to go about it to the key supplements we should be taking. She also dishes out solid advice on managing energy and fueling our bodies the right way to avoid LEA (low energy availability) and burnout - trust me, the stats on LEA are mind-blowing. If you’re tired of sifting through all the confusion and BS out there, and ready to get into the nitty-gritty of optimising health, performance, and resilience for women, this is the episode you’ve been waiting for. Oh yeah, and for my fellow sisters who (like me) are dipping toes into that peri-menopausal chaos, don't worry I've thrown some questions in around that too! Hannah Clarke’s tragic story shook Australia to the core and brought the conversation around men’s violence against women to the spotlight. In late 2023 I listened to the podcast series ‘Hannah’s Story’, hosted by Australian Broadcast Journalist & Nine News Presenter Melissa Downes. Hearing the full details of her ordeal deepened my understanding of coercive control and abusive behavior, igniting my awareness of the critical issue we have within Australia. In this episode, I had the privilege of spending time with Hannah Clarke’s best friend, Dave Kramer, an opportunity I’ll forever truly cherish. Dave opens up about his personal experiences with Hannah and their friendship, while also reflecting on her tragic story and how knowing what he now knows, what needs to change within our societies culture to prevent behaviours leading to tragedies such as this. Since Hannah’s death, Dave has dedicated himself to Small Steps 4 Hannah and to raising awareness about domestic violence, the responsibility men have in challenging toxic behaviors, and the role we all must play in creating a safer society. This conversation with Dave is a much-needed example of the courage and allyship Australian women desperately want and need as we push for change in our fight against domestic violence. This is a tough conversation, but one that needs to happen. Back in 2021 I had the most incredible conversation with Peter Crone, The Mind Architect. Peters' ability to observe and reframe how we relate to, and speak of, our experiences is exceptional and made for somewhat of a live mindset coaching session around connection, rejection, abandonment and shame. Chance Burns' journey is nothing short of remarkable. After an accident that left him quadriplegic, Chance pushed through and has regained about 50% of his muscle function. In this conversation, he opens up about his rehabilitation, the mental hurdles he’s faced, and the unique perspective he's gained from living with his injury. From learning to walk with a cane to driving and even playing golf, Chance’s story is a testament to pushing limits and finding new ways to thrive. In this episode, Kerryn Vaughan and I dive deep into the messy, beautiful, and downright funny moments that make life real. We’re talking about everything from my dog Luna's recent paw drama and how a little canine wisdom can teach us more than we think, to Kerryn’s tale of her runaway donkey and the wild ride of grief, loss, and learning to let go. Of course we tackle the big stuff - trauma, resilience, and how we’re all just figuring it out as we go - while still finding joy in the small stuff, like kicking the footy in the street or smiling at a stranger on a run. Well, today I got to sit down with the amazing Rebecca Adam, CEO of Expression Australia. And let me tell you, this episode was a first for me - I had my very first Auslan-interpreted conversation, and I was like a kid in a candy shop! Rebecca’s story blew me away. She’s profoundly deaf, but that hasn’t stopped her from smashing through glass ceilings. She’s the first deaf CEO of her organization in 140 years and she's also a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Victoria using Auslan.  We talked about everything from her experiences growing up in a deaf household, to leading a national organisation, to the ways technology is helping (and sometimes falling short) when it comes to deaf inclusion. I even learned that one in six Aussies is actually affected by hearing loss. Rebecca’s got such a calm, yet powerful presence, and she’s been breaking barriers in education, sports, law - you name it.. I adore her! Her resilience and the way she’s used adversity as fuel to become a leader and an advocate for the deaf community is such a legendary achievement. Plus, huge thanks to Mark Quinn, the Auslan interpreter. This conversation was one of my favourites! Righto legends, strap yourselves in because today I’m sitting down with an absolute weapon of a human, Kris Clelland. Now, Kris isn’t your everyday bloke - he’s the kind of guy who took on the 75 Hard challenge and smashed through it... with a broken ankle! Yeah, you heard that right. We dive into the grit and determination it takes to push through something like that, but this convo goes way beyond fitness. We explore Kris's life from growing up in Scotland, navigating the challenges of his early life, and how those experiences shaped the resilient person he is today. Kris opens up about dealing with the profound loss of both of his parents at a relatively young age, showing us the raw and real side of his story. We also chat about his move to Australia, carving out his path in a new country, and building a career that spans continents and industries. But it doesn’t stop there—Kris shares his insights on leadership, personal growth, and how he balances his work-hard, play-hard mentality with a deep passion for helping others succeed. We get into his strategies for overcoming obstacles, his approach to continuous learning, and the importance of mental health and resilience in both personal and professional life.
