Our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) shapes the way we experience our lives. This system acts mostly unconsciously and regulates bodily functions, such as heart rate, digestion, respiratory rate, etc. It serves to inform and protect us but sometimes it continues to react to previous experiences rather than responding to what is happening in the present moment. In this podcast, Grand Master Julie Scott leads us to better understand the ANS and how to interrupt habits that no longer serve us so we can establish new patterns that create more connection and vitality.
Much has been written about the phenomenon known as lucid dreaming, where while dreaming, the individual recognizes that she or he is in a dream and is able to consciously direct her or his actions as while awake instead of passively participating in the dream experience. Perhaps the most salient element in lucid dreaming is that one is aware that one is in a dream while in it – a type of meta-awareness. The objective of what could be called “lucid waking” is to develop a similar meta-awareness of life while in the normal waking state. In other words, it is to gradually awaken within the dream of reality. Presented by longtime Rosicrucian and Martinist Julian Johnson.
