It's our final regular show of 2025 as we wrap up season number 4 for the podcast by reviewing the National Development Trophy campaign. It was success for King's Lynn Young Stars as they returned to the 3rd tier of British racing for the first time since 2016. We wrap up the final few meetings of 2025 as the season comes to a close before we focus on the National Development League Review. It was well done to Oxford Chargers who were crowned Champions for the season. We are joined on the show by one of the winning 1-7 as Darryl Ritchings made a stunning comeback after 8 years away from the sport. With only a few more shows left for 2025, this week we review the 2025 Cab Direct Championship season, and it was Redcar Bears who wrestled the BSN Series away from Poole Pirates in the final meeting of the season, but it was the Pirates who picked up the League and Cup double. Joining us on the show to discuss the season is Tobias Thomsen as he reflects on his season with the Poole Pirates and where he would like to be in 2026. This week sees the beginning of the Review shows for the 2025 season as we dish out our awards to those riders who have excelled. It was congratulations to Ipswich Witches who ended a 27 year wait for a top flight trophy, plus Leicester Lions were victorious in the KO Cup Final. We also approached the end of the season as a whole and it was Poole Pirates who took the Championship Grand Final by the barest of margins as they defeated Glasgow Tigers in a super heat. The Pirates also take a 2 point deficit back to Dorset on Wednesday evening in the BSN Final against Redcar Bears as they look to complete another treble. We were joined on the show by Dan Thompson who saw both sides of the coin as he was victorious with the Witches in the Premiership but also missed out with the Tigers in the Championship. We also talk about him joining the top ranks of U21 in the SGP and SON for 2025. There is another edition of the quiz between Rob and Cain as we also come towards the end of our prediction season with it being particularly tight between all 3 of us. This week on the show we congratulate the Ipswich Witches who completed the 2025 Premiership season with the ultimate prize, their first top flight victory since 1998. It was also Poole Pirates who took victory in the Championship KO Cup Final against Redcar Bears as they took their first step towards another potential treble. It was a King's Lynn Young Stars 1-2-3 in the British U19 Final from Workington as Luke Harrison took the victory in a 3 man run off alongside Jody Scott and Cooper Rushen. We welcome Lewis Kerr onto the show as he talks about his KO Cup Final win with the Pirates as well as a big week ahead in the Championship Grand Final. Our Meeting of the Week will see both legs of the Grand Final between the Pirates and Glasgow Tigers. The podcast has been on tour this week as the SON hit Torun, Poland and it was congratulations to Australia who came out triumphant in a pulsating final. There was a shock victory in the SON2 as Germany overcame Poland and Denmark to lift the crown We come back to these shores for the finale of the Premiership campaign as this week will see Ipswich Witches and Leicester Lions battle it out to take the ultimate prize of Champions. There was a major shock as the wildcards were announced for the SGP2026 with Max Fricke, Jason Doyle and Tai Woffinden taking the final places and we will be discussing this in detail. We approach the month of October and whilst the weather tries its best to interrupt the progress in the UK, it is time for us to look ahead to the SON and SON2 from Torun, Poland. All eyes will be on the British trio of Dan Bewley Robert Lambert and Tom Brennan as they look to retain their title but they will face stiff competition from the likes of Poland, Australia and Denmark to name a few. We also preview SON2 as Dan Thompson Luke Harrison and Luke Killeen lead the British youngsters into action looking to pick up a medal. It was the finish that everybody wanted for the 2025 SGP season as the title went right down to the last heat of the last meeting and it was Bartosz Zmarzlik who claimed title number 6 by the barest of margins as Brady Kurtz did all he could by taking his 5th win in a row. Wiktor Przyjemski tried in vein to make an early return from injury to defend his SGP2 title, but it was ultimately too much as Nazar Parnitskiy took the title in Vojens with a faultless performance. It was also a weekend to remember for Tino Stjernegaard Olsen who took the SGP4 event, an event now recognised by the FIM as a World Championship. Ipswich Witches made their way into the Premiership Play off Final with victory over Belle Vue Aces, and this week we look ahead to the other Semi Final as Leicester Lions take on Sheffield Tigers. We preview the final round of the Tauron Speedway Euro Championship from Pardubice as we find out who will be rider number 12 for the Grand Prix Series in 2026. The trio come together again as the season comes to its ultimate conclusion and we begin to enter play off season. We are expecting a scintillating finish to the SGP Series for 2025 as Brady Kurtz picked up his fourth victory in a row from Wroclaw over the weekend, but it is Bartosz Zmarzlik who still holds a 3 point lead going into the final round in Vojens. With Rob away this week, it was the return of Cain to the podcast as he and Nathan discussed the week of Speedway as they saw it. It was Patryk Dudek who took another stride towards SGP 2026 qualification as he took victory in Round 3 of the Tauron Speedway Euro Championship in Leszno whilst it was a surprise victory for Bartosz Jaworski as he became European Under 19 Champions in Grudziadz on the same day. Its been a great week in the world of Speedway, as not only did we welcome Leon Madsen back to the FIM Speedway Grand Prix for 2026, there were also returns for Dominik Kubera and Andrejs Lebedevs whilst we welcome a new addition in Kacper Woryna. You will probably hear and see the delight as King's Lynn Young Stars won the National Development Trophy with a convincing victory at Kent Eagles wrapping up the Trophy. Our Meeting of the Week will be Redcar Bears vs Plymouth Gladiators as the Bears look to secure a play off place in the Championship. Its just Nathan and Rob this week as we look back over the events of the Speedway world, and the title race for the World Championship was well and truly blown open as Brady Kurtz cut the lead of Bartosz Zmarzlik from 9 to 3 after victory in Latvia with only 2 rounds left to go. SGP2 saw a surprise victory from Adam Bubba Bednar as he surprised the pacesetters to give himself every chance of a medal with only one round left to go. Congratulations went to Leicester Lions as they took the first trophy of the British Speedway season with a comfortable victory over King's Lynn Stars in the Premiership KO Cup Final.
