Inspired by Scrappy Do aka Pasha making his 2nd set recently, I had a window last Friday and did some solid record shopping. Bought 36 tunes to fuel 2 different styled mixes. I recorded the first mix om the Saturday and the second om the Sunday. Both were unplanned and blind recorded really. With tunes from Trilucid, Gai Barone, Dave Seaman, Cendryma, D-Nox, Ezequiel Arias, Durante, Boxer, Fordal amongst others, I am really happy with how both of these turned out. This set is more Progressive but retains some of the deeper, tribal flavour of the Global Underground set. This starts slower but then moves into more of an uplifting house music for a club. My average mix reduced to 1m30 from 2m as these progressive tunes don't allow longer mixes. Get this one on and turned up.
Inspired by Scrappy Do aka Pasha making his 2nd set last week, I had a window last night and did some solid record shopping. Bought 36 tunes to fuel 2 different styled mixes over the next few weeks. I recorded the first mix today having no time to filter or plan the set, this was a blind recording. With tunes from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Franky Wah, Guj J, Sebastian Leger, Trilucid, M.O.S. amongst others I am really happy with how this turned out and I have not listened to it back yet. This is a banger! This ,music is Progressive but at times deeper and tribal,. just quality house music for a club. My average mix was 2mins with some up to 2min45 sets. Really happy with this technically. Get this one on and turned up. In the coming days I will record the second set which is more uplifting.
Welcome to The Big League - Late Set. This is part 3 that completes my Progressive House mix series back to back with Pasha. Shout out to the Fluff who has done a great job with his turntable recording debut . This set is still 124bpm but a little bit more trancey and up tempo as expected in a a later set. We really hope you have enjoyed all 3 parts. They can play as a 3 part journey if you have time. Whatever you do, turn this one up!
After the success of #133 Too Much Information, I wanted to record another mix asap. The process takes so much time, time that I do not have. An opportunity came up with one of my best mates Pasha (aka Fluffer). Pasha is learning to mix, loves progressive house music and has spent hours record shopping. We agreed for him to jump in the deep end and for us to go back to back and record a set. I have to say he did a great job and I am excited to see how he develops his skills. Fluffer and I have been each year to Anjunadeep at FIVE and he went to their Expeditions festival in Albania last year. We recorded part 1 of Welcome to the Big League a few weeks ago. The mix is 100% Pasha's tunes, he had 78. We filtered and split into a 20 tune early, 20 warm up and 20 late set selection. This mix tips our hat to Jody, James and all the Anjunadeep collective. Please enjoy 'Welcome to The Big League - Warm Up Set. When the dust settles we will record the 3rd and final part the Late Set. All 3 parts are a journey but this mix itself is it's own starting slow so sit back, enjoy and turn it up!

2 years has gone in the flash of an eye.... Extremely busy with work and then loaded outside with rugby, gym, padel and un-fucking my body as well as un-fucking my future. I simply haven't had the time to think about recording a set. I have never taken my eye off the tunes though and promised myself over Christmas I would release some music in 2025.I have been to some incredible parties. 3 x Anjunadeep label parties in the FIVE garden, Full Moon Party Thailand, Bali including a night with Jarni, Mon and Wads to see the legendary Saul Bliss and most recently Surf Club Dubai for PJ and Mush's leaving do. This is a selection of tunes I have enjoyed over the last 2 years. I really hope you enjoy these 20 tunes spanning melodic, progressive and afro house music, They should take you on a 1hr45 journey, turn it up!Have a great 2025 and as the oracle JP once said #FinishStrongJarni you are the incredible hulk! #DrG
I am back as promised with a 2 part Afro Progressive Tech set to end 2022. After weeks of record shopping I narrowed my crate to 36 tunes. I spent a day looking at programming and rather than go 18 build up / 18 main set or an even 18 split, I choose my favourite 18 tunes for the 1st set which overall is a little more progressive but still has a defined Afro vibe leaving a darker less proggy set to follow in part 2.I further refined the part II selection and recorded it last night. Despite the preparation and faultless way part I had gone, this wasn't the same for part II. I guess that was to be expected but making 4 live changes on the fly to tune selection and flow was not on my agenda. However I made it happen and am happy with the results. Part II follows part I theme with me dropping in 90-120 second mixes straight out or during last breakdown and I think it works really well. Big ups to the Pioneer Tours as the screens really enable this planning and execution in the smoothest fashion. This set is more Afro than Progressive with a Tech sprinkle providing a slightly darker pumping club set to balance part I. Overall I am so happy with these 2 sets. I hope you enjoy listening as much as i did making. Shout out to Armand Smuts for giving me the drive to make it happen. Time to enjoy Christmas with the family now but I will back next year with more music. Let me know if you have any requests. It might be time for some D&B soon..........Please contact me if you like this set and feel free to share the musical love to anyone and everyone. Thanks so much to Lee Jackson www.rebelcreates.com for his incredible artwork. Legend!Happy Christmas Everyone, Big Love Rubber

I am extremely happy with the results although I have not recorded part 2 yet.I was going to record part 1 on Sunday morning but i wasn't feeling it and by the time i decided to start it was 20:30 and all I was thinking about was chilling before Monday gym and work. However what happened was unexplained and blew my mind. I have been dj'ing for 25 years with 15 playing out and doing my podcast. The stars aligned and what i recorded whether you like the tunes or not was my best technical set ever. I had 0 errors (unheard of) but more importantly I was dropping in 90-120 second mixes straight out or during last breakdown that worked seamlessly. Big ups to the Pioneer Tours as the screens really enable this planning and execution in the smoothest fashion.I am humbled and over the moon happy with the result. Excited to bring you Warrior part 1. Turn it up really really loud and enjoy the Afro percussion and haunting melodies. I will get part 2 uploaded as quickly as possible. Please contact me if you like this set and feel free to share the musical love to anyone and everyone.Happy Christmas Everyone, Big Love Rubber

90 minutes of Afro Progressive Tech, this mix takes you on a journey through tribal beats, vocals and percussion to more progressive sounds with a similar vibe. Perfect for so many settings, turn it up and let these vibes take you away to another level whatever you are doing.....Featuring tunes from Nick Warren, Nicholas Rada, Tinlicker, Township Rebellion, Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, Solomon, Christoph and many moreAfro houseAfrican music mixed with a house beat. Afro house is a subgenre of house music, with its roots predominantly in South Africa. A fusion of kwaito, tribal, deep and soulful house music, in South Africa, it is classed as deep house or soulful house, although it has its own unique sound and is reflected in the musical style – particularly in the "stripped back" original percussion sounds and rhythms of South African culture.

Rubber is back 6 months late (sorry about that) with 100 minutes of smooth, grooving soulful house. Tracks from Booker T, Walter G, Shaun Escoffery, Blaze, Sea and Soul, Micky Moore, Soultrend Orchestra, Stacy Kidd, Soul II Soul and of course the incredible Mark Di Men.Ideal for so many situations, this soulful beauty would be especially ideal for some sundowners or on the beach.Soulful houseSoulful house is a genre characterised by smooth and soulful vocals, relaxed atmosphere and melodic structure, as well as by influences from soul, jazz and funk. Tracks are distinguished by slower tempos (122 to 127 bpm), keyboards that give a deep sound, similar to the one from chill-out and lounge. House rhythms are often accompanied by instruments such as piano, guitar, bass guitar, double bass. Therefore, producers often collaborate with vocalists and live musicians. The tracks often feature solos by typical jazz wind instruments, such as saxophone or trumpet. Soulful house is a dance music genre due to its house beat and rhythm, but can also be heard as background music in restaurants and shops as well as on high fashion shows due to its relaxed, easy-going rhythm and refined sounds. Sometimes the genre perceived as a dance version of genres such as nu jazz and lounge.
