Over the years, the performance of Ruby has improved quite a bit. One of the big recent performance improvements came from the development of YJIT inside Shopify. YJIT is a just-in-time compiler for Ruby written in Rust. Marc has been building software for more than two decades, with a particular focus on the medical industry. He’s currently working with Doximity to create tools that make doctors’ lives easier.
