Micco Caporale is a freelance journalist undertaking an arduous task. Through her podcast Bad Reputation, she tells the untold and forgotten stories of women in rock n roll. Starting her series with The Runaways, Micco wants to identify the grey areas. She puts all the elements of women's stories in their true, historical context to create an understanding of what makes these scenes work. Also, she does this by herself. Everything. And she does it well, that's how she got bylines in Pitchfork, Noisey, and Audiofemme after taking up journalism only 2 years ago. We talked about the decision to begin the series with The Runaways, what makes a Bad Reputation story, the role women played in early punk scenes, and where the season and series will eventually lead. It was also great to bond over what it takes to make a passion project work when you have life to deal without outside of that. So check it out. Bad Reputation is available at Badreputationpod.com and on Apple Podcasts.
Veteran guests and our good friends Mollow honored with a special acoustic live set. What's unique about this particular set you ask? There's three guitars. THREE.
