🚨Fresh Vibes🚨 Jess and Dave are back to discuss another week of headlines, specifically DJ Envy and the heat he's feeling from his real estate partnership with recently arrested Cesar Pina, who is suspected of running a Ponzi scheme. But first, the couple reacts to the news of yet another mass shooting, this time in Lewiston, Maine - where at least 18 are dead, and 13 wounded. This is America. Later, the two give their thoughts on the viral 'Bad First Date Spots' list stemming from the Cheesecake Factory drama, and David shares why Gayle King is his favorite journalist this week after her interview with Jay-Z.
🚨Fresh Vibes🚨 We're hypocrites. We said we'd had enough, but we couldn't help ourselves. This week's episode is dedicated to the woman and family we can't get away from, and a pop legend who delivered one of the nastiest strays in recent memory. The couple discusses Jada Pinkett Smith and the excerpts from her new book, 'Worthy,' that have made headlines. Jada deserves to tell her truth, but when is enough? Then, after discussing the Smiths, Dave and Jess talk about Britney Spears and the news that she was pregnant when dating Justin Timberlake, but he allegedly convinced her to get an abortion. 😳 Then, to finish, the Jess and Dave reflect, briefly, on their nine years of marriage, and what it's been like for them.
An episode of firsts for Rush'd Vibes - the first episode in a remote location, and our first guest who's running for local government. Franco McGee was born and raised in the city of Monroe, NC, and has served in multiple positions working for the city for the past 20 years. That includes one term as a city councilman, elected in 2017. However, he lost re-election in 2021. Now, he's running again - and wanted to come on the pod & share why he loves his hometown, what it means to lead, how he's grown since the last election, and how he plans to serve the people of Monroe when he wins in November.
Jess and Dave are back for another week of vibes. This week, a clip of Jay-Z talking to Kevin Hart about the anxiety of going back home and having family members pitch '$4,800' business ideas hit the web, and people had thoughts. So do the Rushings. But, before that - Kevin McCarthy is the first Speaker of the House to be voted out via no confidence, Jess and David recall the lockdowns of 2020, and a conversation on why people hate the rich & wealthy. After discussing Jay-Z's comments, and a greater conversation around caring for others financially, the couple wraps up the pod discussing Kountry Wayne HAPPILY paying his $200k/month child support bill, and why a video of Black men in suits got social media in their feelings last week.
The week off was much needed, but Dave & Jess are back for another episode of Rush'd Vibes. The couple discusses the video of Tyler Perry that made social media headlines last week, where the billionaire told Black women that it's okay to be with a man who only makes enough to pay the light bill (he also said more, of course..) But, before Tyler, the two discussed the 2nd GOP Presidential debate, Damian Lillard being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, and how Winnie Cooper did Kevin Arnold dirty on 'The Wonder Years.'
Back for a conspiracy-filled episode, David and Jess sit down this week discuss the unveiling of two alien corpses during a session of Mexico's congress. They also talk about sexism in Hollywood, and how Jessica thinks it's okay for women to be sexist in marriage, but not men. 🤨 Then, the couple dishes on Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis' "apology" to fans for writing character letters for Danny Masterson, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping two women in his California home 20 years ago.
🚨Episode 85 of Rush' Vibes is here🚨 This week, David & Jess discuss Oprah & Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson asking people to contribute to their newly created 'People's Fund of Maui,' and if $10 million is ✌🏽enough money✌🏽 for the two billionaires to have donated. But, before that, they talk about a Delta Airlines plane that had to turn around mid-flight to Barcelona due to 'diarrhea all through the plane,' and the conspiracy theory around the 'That MFer Is Not Real' woman. After talking about Oprah and The Rock, the couple finishes the show by discussing the story about the $1,400 shoe thief, the woman who was allegedly hit by a brick this past weekend in Houston, how Jessica regularly objectifies and assaults David and, lastly, the Maryland cop who was caught in the backseat of his cruiser with his mistress... ON THE JOB!😳
After successfully getting their three kids to sleep under 2 hours, David and Jess are back for another week of vibes. This week, the couple discusses Noah Lyles and his comments on the NBA's champions being referred to as 'World Champions. But, before that, they talk about Jessica's upcoming vacation, and American work culture versus Europe's. And, to wrap up, they discuss Sha'Carri Richardson's return to prominence and if we owe her an apology, the two shootings that happened last week and over the weekend in Jacksonville, FL and Chapel Hill, NC, and then finish the episode with their conspiracy theory that Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson (and Usher!) played us all for fools... and we deserved it!
Time to vibe!! This week the Rushing's sat down to discuss Trump's mug shot and sit-down conversation with Tucker Carlson and the Republican debate that took place in Milwaukee. But first, David owes and gives Jessica an apology, and the two chat about Fresh and Fit being demonetized by Youtube, Nia Long asking for full custody of her and Ime Udoka's son, and more odds and ends. Tap in!
More Vibes this week from the Rushings. Usher and Keke are back for more petty-filled messiness, but before they dish on Usher's new music video David and Jess discuss Trump's 4th indictment, how Biden mishandled comments on Maui and its aid, Devon Franklin's sermon on single women, and Florida's reworking of Black history.
