Norwegian prisons have actually been compared to (low budget) hotels. (google for instance Halden prison Norway), and the Norwegian prison system has received international praise because of their focus on rehabilitation and humanity, instead of solely punishment, (with all that follows with regards to the treatment of the inmates in prisons with that focus). So I don't think the Norwegian prisons are comparable to Russian prisons 🤣

ha ha I'm dying over the "sergie" reference. I assumed that was a British thing until they said they thought it was American sounding. I can assure you that it's not LOL
