CHARLOTTE, NC - SPHL Weekly will air tonight at 8 PM EST/7 PM CST. Guests of the program include head coach Todd Gordon of Pensacola, who will talk about the Ice Flyers and Chris Wilson, who was named the SPHL Player of the Week for the second time in the past three weeks; and new head coach Todd Bidner of the Fayetteville FireAntz. The show then turns to an enforcer theme, with Knoxville's David Segal, Columbus's Daniel Amesbury, and the Mississippi RiverKings' Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon all scheduled as guests. "We decided to think a little outside the box and go with a themed show around some of the well-known fighters in the league," said show host Dana Barker. "Fighting is an integral part of hockey, and I think this will present an awesome chance to get into the mentality of what it takes to be a team enforcer and some of the things that go behind the decision to drop the gloves." The show will feature SPHL Director of Officiating Scott Brand's "Penalty Box" feature. Other guests include Huntsville's Brandon Richardson, the SPHL Player of the Week; forward Aaron McGill of the Augusta RiverHawks, who won the popular vote among fans on SPHL Forums for the Augusta player they wanted to hear on the show; Pensacola head coach Todd Gordon; and Columbus director of media relations Whitney Mixon, who will join the show during the "What's Up in the SP" segment to talk about the Cottonmouths' "Movember" promotion to raise awareness of men's health, particularly cancers.
Join Dana Barker as he interviews Commissioner Combs, fan pick Sam Bowles of the Columbus Cottonmouths, and coach Mike Craigen of the Knoxville Ice Bears who will be fielding phone in questions from fans!  Hayley Dumont from the Louisiana IceGators will also be on the show to preview the IceGators home opener.
