Description

Music offers a definite contribution to every kind of social gathering, from a cozy two-some to the wildest whing-ding. Lots of people put on a batch of records when company is expected, turning the volume down so as to not interfere with conversation. But what frequently happens is that most recorded music is at times so soft it can barely be heard - and at other times so loud that those that prefer to converse have to shout to be heard over it. (Also, the type of music is frequently not the kind that appeals to everyone.) This music has been arranged and recorded to overcome those difficulties. Here, for perhaps the first time, is music arranged, played and produced especially for your background use. This music is unique. It will never dominate, yet will always be pleasant and listenable. Early in the evening, when the hostess is struggling to get the party off the ground, the music will fill those embarrassing lulls. (In place of awkward silence will be familiar and friendly music that encourages toe tapping and humming in harmony.) On the other hand, should the party get festive, these recordings take on added significance, for they serve for group "singing" or dance music of a type to enable dowager and daughter to enjoy partners of assorted vintages. For card parties, however small, this music is sufficiently unobtrusive not to confuse the bidding, yet fill in those dull gaps while the slow player shifts gears before sloughing a deuce. Club meetings - in fact any social gathering - will find these podcasts a genuine contribution. A suggestion: When you hear this music on a website, don't expect to be sent into a toe tingling trance by any musical pyrotechnics. These podcasts are designed for BACKGROUND... like a dash of sherry. they'll add flavor to any mixture. (And if you're all alone some night with facebook, they're mighty pleasant taken straight!)
