So this is my monthly solo pod where I go it alone and reflect on some of my current research ideas and concerns. The boss is here. After getting my feet wet it is time to bring in my mentor and old PhD supervisor Assoc Prof Dr Wong Chan Yuan from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Dr Wong discusses his unlikely journey from Engineering to Economics, to Technology Management leading to his move overseas. We also talk about the upcoming Asialics conference hosted by NTHU and some of the pros and cons of online conferences.
This week I get to sit down and talk Science Communication with my comrade Dr Nurulaini Shamsi. We have been working together on the soon to be launched Master of Science Communication and Public Engagement at the University of Malaya. We discuss her background as well as Science Communication in Malaysia.
It's my first solo pod! For my first crack at this I decided to discuss a paper I read from Schlaile et al. 2017 from the journal Sustainability to discuss the need to update NIS in a post-SDG environment.

We also discuss what moving to Denmark was like and his work in Kenya and how the circular economy scholar has gone full circle back to his hometown in Brazil.
