Welcome to a bonus episode of the Same Business Different Day podcast. Today, our host Zeke Corley sits down with the incoming President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos. A leader and confident communicator early on, she forged a very smart path to translate that into her education and work experience.
What is just as important is that her intent to "mobilize, inspire, lead, and learn" puts her in a circle of people that our show likes to surround ourselves with.
Congratulations Christine and we look forward to the impact that you will continue to make. Don't forget to get yourself a ticket to the Annual Auction of the San Marcos boys & Girls Club. They are taking it back to the 1970's to celebrate their 45th year anniversary. Come support a great cause.

Welcome back to Same Business Different Day! We’re glad you’re here. In this episode, host Zeke Corley and guest co-host Lionel Saulsberry from the Couples Unfiltered podcast are joined by Chris Megison, the CEO and co-founder of Solutions for Change. Solutions for Change is a “community-focused” organization looking to tackle the issue of homelessness in San Diego one family at a time.
Witnessing first hand in his childhood what alcohol and drug abuse can do to a person, Chris discusses his journey of tackling the homelessness crisis in San Diego County and how he believes every single individual is worth the fight to change their life. He discusses how he hopes to hit homelessness head on, especially seeing much of its roots lying in addiction. Working to transform his own life from a young age by joining the Marines, he now is determined to do the same for others through Solutions for Change. We’re lucky enough to have showcased on the podcast one of the many individuals in San Diego county who work tirelessly to reach their goals through entrepreneurship and hard work. Thank you for joining us, Chris! If you’re looking for some inspiration on your way to work, from home, or wherever you may be, press that play button and give this episode a listen. Stick around until the end for the big news!!!

Season 7 of the Same Business Different Day podcast is extended! Welcome back as Zeke sits down with Matt Koumaras, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. Many of us have been involved with BGC in one way or another, but Matt’s involvement in causes that matter to him goes above and beyond.
In this episode, Matt tells Zeke about his own upbringing, and now witnessing the unique adversities of some of the children that come through his organization. He also discusses the obstacles of running a non-profit organization, the importance of thoughtful fundraising, and being a truly humble servant leader. Our show is all about stories like Matt’s because no two are the same. Thank you Matt for joining us, and we hope that you all enjoy this episode as much as we did!

In this episode, our host Zeke Corley has the pleasure of sitting down with one of the brilliant minds behind the growth (no pun intended) of Tradecraft Farms. Tina is incredibly forthcoming about where she developed many of her skills. Moving alot throughout her childhood, she learned how to adapt easily and even used school recess as an opportunity to learn more. She learned good work ethics from her mother, and continues to use some of those methods to this day!
So much more to her story, but you’ll have to press play to hear it yourself. We’re happy to welcome a true sales technician, and all around good person to the Same Business Different Day podcast. Enjoy our conversation with Tina Tonoco!
Welcome back to the Same Business Different Day podcast with host Zeke Corley! Zeke met today's guest Nicolina at a networking event last month, where she and a number of her peers from Cal State San Marcos were fulfilling an assignment to network with local business owners. One of her other requirements was to interview local business owners, so Zeke said "Why not use my platform?"
As our show typically discusses the early paths of currently successful business owners, what better opportunity than to talk about Nicolina's early years prior to the success? You'll learn a little more about Zeke in this episode as Nicolina performs her interview on our show! Shoutout to CSUSM's Business 300 program! They are turning out some very impressive future business minds.

Today, host Zeke Corley sits down with Erica Alfaro for an absolutely unbelievable and inspirational conversation about achieving against all odds. At one point, Erica actually went viral after posting a photo of her that, even without words, depicts the journey that we love talking about on this show every week.
Today, we put that story into words, as she does so eloquently in her book, Harvesting Dreams, and as a keynote speaker throughout California and Mexico! She has an impressive list of accolades that are only made more special once you hear her story!

In this episode, our host Zeke Corley sits with Chris Kydd who has come a long way from his childhood aspiration of becoming a grocery store clerk. Chris is now the Publisher of the Coast News Group, a business started by his father in his garage in 1987.
At a young age, Chris started on the ground floor with the Coast News. Learning to work in a family business isn’t easy. He eventually went off to college, studied abroad, matured, and changed his perspective. He humbly accepts his current position as Publisher, and takes his job more seriously than he would if he hadn’t.
Keeping objective principles in these polarizing times isn’t easy for a community paper, especially while many have been saying that “newspaper is dead” for over 10 years.
Chris’ energy and perspective should be infectious to the good people among us. We are glad that he has our community’s best interest in mind. Enjoy this episode.

In today's episode, host Zeke Corley had the pleasure of sitting down with owner of Kingdom Kutz, Donnell Hilliard. His story is as powerful as any, from being moved around the country with his family, to making the decision to settle in Oceanside, CA after Hurricane Katrina. The many decisions we make in athletics, education, family, and business can all shape the entrepreneur we eventually become. As important, humility, confidence, connections, and wisdom are also born from these experiences. Donnell uses these traits to teach and pass on wisdom as well.
