Well before C-3PO got his creepy new red eyes, he was narrating his adventures across the galaxy far, far away in the 2015 series #LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales. This Legends show pokes fun at the characters and events of the #StarWars saga by retelling the story through the eyes of the only characters to be present for each and every adventure: C-3PO and R2-D2. But don’t worry, more droid pals will pop up along the way!The Saturday Mourning Cartoons team of Dave Trumbore and Sean Paul Ellis continue LEGO Star Wars month with this animated series that you can watch on Disney+. Kill some time with us while we await the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on December 20th. #BabyYoda, am I right? Unfortunately, you won't find the pint-sized Force-wielder in the 2013 animated series 'LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles', but you will find a lot of age-appropriate jokes, 'Star Wars' lore, and plenty of zany adventures befitting this Legends story.Dave and Sean launch into December with 'LEGO Star Wars' month, celebrating all things #StarWars! We're also enjoying #TheMandalorian on #DisneyPlus, which is where you can also find these 'LEGO Star Wars' series while we await the arrival of 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.' On this special holiday episode of Saturday Mourning Cartoons, Sean and Dave review the 1968 Rankin/Bass Thanksgiving holiday special, 'The Mouse on the Mayflower.' Featuring the voice work of Tennessee Ernie Ford and June Foray, with writing from Romeo Muller, and some animation work from the one and only Hayao Miyazaki. That's right! The legendary Studio Ghibli co-founder worked as a key animator for Toei, which animated this first holiday special from the studio behind stop-motion classics like 'Rudolph' and 'Frosty'!But how does it hold up? We're getting a jump on the Disney+ arrivals with a revisit of the 90s animated series, 'Marvel's Iron Man.' Arriving nearly 15 years before the live-action movie that launched the MCU into the stratosphere, this cartoon is a stark (pun!) reminder that superhero stories are tough to do right ... and absolutely catastrophic when done wrong.-Support the Show through Patreon-Want to find our cohosts online?Dave TrumboreWrites for Collider.com Twitter @drclawmdBuy the book The Science of Breaking Bad - https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/science-breaking-badSean Paul EllisIG and twitter @seanpaulellisPerformer at Washington Improv Theater where you can find tickets and times.  If you are digging our show and want to help you out, then you can do so in the following ways:1. Ep 249: 'Undone' Review

Ep 249: 'Undone' Review

2019-09-2800:56:35

'Undone' is a unique show from Amazon Prime.  It's not unique because it uses rotoscoping, an older style of animation, for the visuals.  Undone is unique because of the storytelling and mature content that is delivered through stunning performances from the cast.  We do need to mention that there are some trigger warnings for this show including - suicide, loss of a parent, and mental illness.  Join Sean and Dave as they delve into the Undone and some of it's ambiguous and thought provoking story.   -Support the Show through Patreon-National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - as mentioned during the show due to the mature nature of this cartoonYou can find the website by clicking here.Call 1-800-273-8255Want to find our cohosts online?Dave TrumboreWrites for Collider.com Twitter @drclawmdBuy the book The Science of Breaking Bad - https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/science-breaking-badSean Paul EllisIG and twitter @seanpaulellisPerformer at Washington Improv Theater where you can find tickets and times.  If you are digging our show and want to help you out, then you can do so in the following ways:1.
