Multi-level marketing businesses like Mary Kay, HerbaLife, and Amway are so ubiquitous, it's almost hard to imagine where they started or how deep their influence goes. In this special episode of Scamfluencers, Sarah Hagi talks with Bridget Read about her new book, Little Bosses Everywhere: How the Pyramid Scheme Shaped America. She spent years researching the origins of the “pyramid scheme,” a twist on the classic Ponzi scam, and she talks about who is most vulnerable to these massive, billion-dollar frauds, and why they’ve become unavoidable today. i don't understand where the soup detail comes from if only Alex and his father were there, and obviously his father couldn't have told anyone, and why and when would Alex have said he made soup and insisted his dad eat all of it right before he died? his french wiki says he found out he was hiv+ at age 16, which if true, makes sense for him to have died from covid complications, being immunocompromised. seems more likely than poisoning himself

Implying that migrants have no support in obtaining ID, licenses (or U.S. Passports) is absurd. NGO's like Cath.Charities, Journeys End and Jew Family Services assist them with every available state, county and federal benefit and of course the most important document, the Democratic party voter ID card.

I really enjoy hearing about the scams but you two are snots the way you degrade men is shameful and if anyone did that to women the screaming would never stop why the double standards you should be ashamed of yourself for doing that

I find myself disappointed beyond belief anytime I hear women say sexist things about men that they wouldn't tolerate in Reverse nor should they tolerate but it seems to be okay to do that to a person that has a y chromosome

I was very disappointed with your lack of sympathy for this young lady. she was horribly sexually abused by a predator, that he was young does not undo the damage that was done. Your lack of understanding that somebody could be treated like this and then just get over it and move on (please add a sarcastic voice at that point) demonstrates how little you understand and is a classic example of blaming the victim. it is proven that places like Riker Island creates criminals.
