Barry Briercliffe is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Liverpool. He has been active on the music scene for the last 10 years and during that time has gigged extensively across Merseyside and the Northwest of England.
He takes his influences from such artists as: David Gray, Radiohead, Travis, R.E.M. and John Martyn.
Liverpool city council wrote in 2008 – “Barry’s strong soulful voice coupled with great lyrics and quirky use of a loop pedal enable him to build up sounds, rhythms and layers of voices that will excite and inspire any audience”
Barry’s new CD entitled ‘The Alive EP’ is available to buy from Probe Records at Bluecoat in Liverpool, News From Nowhere bookstore on Bold Street in Liverpool and direct from http://www.barrybriercliffe.co.uk

The Blue Room Baboons are exploding on to the scene in the South West with a blend of Rock, Funk, Blues and Soul. The band most certainly creates a unique sound and often seamlessly blends a drink or two with live shows that create a funk pit frenzy.
The set contains mainly original material, but some popular covers are thrown in for good measure.
To date the band has had a residency at the prestigious venue ‘Mama Stones’ in Exeter and recorded with Grammy award winning musician Jonathan Joseph (as the producer). Also, the Bristol gig scene is proving rich pickings as they have already played at Mr Wolf’s, The Golden Lion and Joe Public’s, to name but a few. The band has also recorded many songs in the past and has an impressive live show that effortlessly merges their original material with the classics.
The Blue Room Baboons are ready to take their music to a wider audience and are looking to play high profile gigs to increase their already large and loyal fan base. They are already popular with music lovers and musicians alike. Their last gig was at the Golden Lion in Bristol, but one of the highlights of their career so far, was a support slot for the original line up of the classic hip-hop band The Sugarhill Gang.
Their latest release, recorded at Deep Blue recording studio in Plymouth, is a 4 track EP that will be ready for release in April and the band will be hitting the road to promote it. There is to be launch party on the 8th of April at Wellington Arts Centre. It will be a great evening featuring performances from the band, DJ’s, magicians and other entertainers.
Previous recordings include a three-track EP ‘All On Red’, (available on iTunes and Last.FM) recorded at Beehive Studios. The use of analogue and reel-to-reel equipment lends a warm sound that really stands out. An 11-track album ‘Year Of The Baboon’ and a five-track mini-album ‘Welcome To The Blue Room’ are both available on Last.FM for free!
The Blue Room Baboons are currently working on increasing downloads on iTunes, CD sales, & getting more exposure through MySpace, Facebook and the live shows. The band has been featured on American television opening Mama Stones in Exeter.
The band is looking for all opportunities to help bring their music to the masses.

Scarlet Tone - Prmotions, Interviews, Podcasts and much much more to come!
Scarlet Tone is run by Matt Swift singer songwriter to promote new and exciting artists in the north west and beyond. I am a great believer in freedom of artistc expression. In today's money driven society artists are seldom given a free platform that truely represents nothing but the music. My passion is music, and much more than that creativity. So if you are a budding or established artists or band then get in touch, I want to play your stuff!
