The. Game.
LFG.
Michigan squeaked by Bye Week and Ohio State didn't exactly burn up the field against Northwestern.
Nebraska has lost 9 straight games with bowl-eligibility on the line. This week is probably must-win for Michigan to make a bowl game, is must-win (along with next week against Rutgers) for Michigan State to make a bowl game, is probably must-win for USC to make a bowl game, the winner of Wisconsin-Nebraska is bowl eligible.
Michigan goes into their showdown with Northwestern and Ohio State gets possible cupcake Indiana for another probable Top 5 win in our Game of the Week.
Oregon & Ohio State are clearly the top 2 in the Big Ten this year. But does Penn State belong in the Big __? What about undefeated Indiana? Or would both of them be in the Little...in this case...16?
Ohio State dominated Purdue. Michigan almost pulled an upset in Bloomington -- words Adam has never spoken before in his life.
And Adam just wants to sim to next season while Zack is more confident than ever that OSU will win the National Championship.
James Franklin just keeps losing big games and keeps getting contract extensions. At what point do they cut bait or is this acceptable or is this just good enough?
Michigan lost to Oregon. Adam just wants to sim to next season.
This was recorded before the Big Ten said there would be no punishment for anyone relating to the skirmish that started when an MSU DL hit Colston Loveland in the face during a kneel down.
Ohio State struggled but the bigger concern might be their LT depth. Big (noon) game on the road against Penn State but it's dumb it's not a night game.
Indiana is making history. The good kind. What's happening?
Adam is...uhh...fired up about the state of Michigan football.
That's it. Enjoy some anger!
Michigan fans are jokers just waiting for competent football while Ryan Day is probably cackling like he just ran over Lou Holtz with his car.
Ohio State won by a lot and Michigan "struggled" while failing to beat the spread by 1 point. Have we seen this before or is this new?
Viewer question: Do we still think Oregon is a championship caliber team after struggling with Idaho?
We then go into our Big Ten Takeaways and One Step Further Take before jumping headfirst into the Rapid Fire Turd Pile Picks, the Varsity Games, and our Game of the Week: Texas at Michigan!
Finally, our Things No One is Talking About and our Tweet of the Week!
Scarlet & Maize is back for Season 4 -- Football 2024! And we've got some questions...that we both try to answer. Which currently ranked Big Ten team will drop the most by the end of the season? Which currently unranked Big Ten team will finish ranked? What will Michigan and Ohio State's records be this year; but more importantly WHO WILL WIN THE GAME THIS YEAR? And more!
We've got predictions for who wins the Big Ten, who makes the Final 4, and who wins the National Championship.
Then we each give our One Step Further Take before jumping into our Rapid Fire Turd Pile Picks, predictions for the varsity games, and the Game of the Week!
Finally, we wrap up with our Things No One is Talking About and our Tweet of the Week! Then we kind of discuss what Ryan Day would have to do to get fired. THEN we wrap up.
Ohio State had a bye week already, to Zack's dismay. To Adam's dismay, Michigan only beat Arkansas State 28-18.
Then we give our One Step Further Takes and Big Ten Takeaways before diving face first into our Rapid Fire Turd Pile Picks, Varsity Games predictions, and our takes for our Game of the Week!
We wrap things up with our Things No One is Talking About and Tweet of the week!
Blake Corum stayed for the "unfinished business" of "winning a national championship and going down in history." On Monday night, with confetti falling from the rafters, he said, "Business is finished."
Michigan 34 - Washington 13. Adam relishes the moment but also different points through the season. Zack tips his cap.
Then we have our One Step Further Takes, Things No One is Talking About, and our Tweets of the Week!
Probably the best playoff in this era as Michigan beats Alabama by 7 in overtime and Washington beats Texas by 6. Should be a great National Championship featuring the clear two best teams in the country, with contrasting styles and philosophies! Also, win or lose for Michigan and Adam might not survive Monday night if it's another crazy game.
We give some CFP, and other bowl games, takes before diving into the National Championship preview. Both teams are so good but we each give our prediction for winner and MVP.
From there we go One Step Further to our not hot but definitely not cold Take and then answer a viewer question asking if we believe Jim Harbaugh will be back coaching Michigan in 2024. Then we talk about some Things No One is Talking About and we each share our Tweet of the Week!
To nobody's surprise, the Big Ten East representative (Michigan) beat the Big Ten West representative (Iowa) again. RIP Big Ten West. There's also a growing exodus out of Columbus -- we'll both wait and see who transfers in before making any judgments on the severity.
Florida State got boned. Period. But the show goes on so we make our College Football Playoff predictions before getting into our quick predictions of the Rapid Fire Turd Pile Bowls.
From there we go One Step Further, with both Zack and Adam having immediate but opposing fixes to the College Football Playoff this year.
There are a couple of viewer questions and a couple of Things No One is Talking About before we share our Tweets of the Week.
We aren't sure when our next episode will be, so until then -- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Michigan beat Ohio State, and the spread, without Connor Stalions and without Jim Harbaugh. Also Adam beat Zack in the picks standings, officially.
We then go over our Big Ten Takeaways and One Step Further Takes before answering 24-30 Viewer Questions.
Finally we talk about our Things No One is Talking About, we preview the Big Ten Championship, and give our Tweets of the Week!
