Before we look ahead to the Seahawks Saturday night battle against the San Francisco 49ers, let's look back at the micro-moments in the Panthers game that kept Seattle in the pole position in the NFC. To kick things off, Ty Okada and and Drake Thomas were key in providing some sound tackling and effective run support. Additionally, we dial in on how Nick Emmanwori and Julian Love helped contain the outside runs when the Panthers tried to change things up. The Seahawks defense put on a clinic against the Panthers, suffocating Carolina's offense and consistently pressuring Bryce Young. The defense limited Young to less than 60 yards through the air and Julian Love picked off Young once. Rico Dowdle actually had more yards on the ground by himself than the entire passing offense. Zach Charbonnet's 122 yards nearly eclipsed the Panthers 139 total yards and his two touchdowns would have been all the offense they needed. Ultimately, the Seahawks 27-10 victory keeps them on pace to win the NFC West and take the top seed heading into the playoffs. There is one unlikely scenario that could lock up the top spot by Tuesday, but a Niners loss to the Bears could make next week's matchup relatively meaningless for San Fran.
