Description
Transportation and land use accounts for one-third of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. Many people look to national and international governments to find answers to the climate crisis, but local and regional actors possess a unique potential to address this crisis. Localized approaches that change the way we move through our city can drastically reduce overall emissions and preserve natural resources and open space.
This month, on San Diego in Motion, we speak with San Diego based groups working hard to achieve a more sustainable transportation culture, from making cycling safer and more accessible to expanding public transit networks to create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable transportation culture across the region.
