Michael Andlauer is a breath of fresh air. Alex Formenton moves on from hockey. If Max Pacioretty makes the Leafs, will they let him wear his traditional number 67??? Kind of a sensitive number in Toronto.

After Monday's signing of Oliver Kylington, Former Senator Erik Brannstrom may have his hands full landing an NHL job on Colorado's crowded blue line. Some remaining free agents might help Ottawa's blue-line depth. Sens trivia surrounds players who played with Daniel Alfredsson.
The Ottawa Senators made big changes in their comms department by hiring Ian Mendes and Sylvain St-Laurent, who both covered the team in this market for a long time. Former first-rounder Colin White remains an unrestricted free agent, and his phone doesn't appear to be ringing. Could that be the end of the line for a player who was once such a highly ranked (and well-paid) prospect in the organization? White was chosen 21st overall in 2015 with many Ottawa fans yelling they should have taken Travis Konecny (who went 24th to Philly). Trivia: Who are the only four Ottawa 67s drafted by the Senators?
Will Tim Stutzle return to a 90-point level? Nine Ottawa Senators from last year's opening night are now gone. Nick Jensen is billed as a hard-nosed defenceman but only had ten penalty minutes last season. Former 67 Travis Konecny gets a crazy 8-year deal. Steve misses one layup but does pretty well at Sens Trivia. And former Sens assistant coach Bob Jones passes away at 54.
Our Five Reasons for Optimism This Season. Making Sense of the Roby Jarventie Deal. Jan Jenik is all that's left from the Mark Stone trade now, but Steve Staios thinks highly of him. At least, he used to. Mads Sogaard signed a two-year deal. When asked about an extension, Claude Giroux gave the same answer Jakob Chychrun gave in April.
In this episode, we catch up with former Ottawa Senators Kyle Turris. Steve and Kyle spoke earlier this year about family life in North Vancouver, his interesting new internship with the Vancouver Canucks, his plans for the future, and a few memories about his time with the Senators and the state of the team today.
We discuss the three $8 million players who not only need to get healthy but return to form. What were they saying about David Perron in Detroit last season? Is Claude Giroux here for the rest of his career? Linus Ullmark makes his first visit to Ottawa and the CTC. End of the line for cap friendly.com, which went dark this week.
Jakob Chychrun and Joonas Korpisalo discuss distractions in Ottawa, partially blaming them for the team's troubles last season. Mathieu Joseph reunites with his brother in St. Louis. How many brother acts have the Senators had? We discuss Egor Sokolov being traded for Jan Jenik. Does Rutger McGroarty make any sense for the Senators? We dig into the depth chart and find out what's still needed.
Welcome to the latest episode of the Sens Nation Podcast! In our latest edition, we dive into the Senators' latest trades and signings. First, we discuss Shane Pinto's re-signing to a modest two-year contract and the dumping of Mathieu Joseph to clear space for the Pinto signing. We get into the big deal that sent defenceman Jakob Chychrun to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Nick Jensen and a third-round pick in 2026. What does this mean for both teams and the players involved? Then, we analyze the Ottawa Senators' recent moves, including the signing of free-agent winger David Perron and the acquisitions of Michael Amadio and Noah Gregor to strengthen their bottom six. Additionally, we cover the Senators' decisions not to qualify Erik Brannstrom and Parker Kelly, who subsequently became unrestricted free agents. Join us as we break down these moves and more in this episode of the Sens Nation Podcast, brought to you by Jim Keay Ford!
