When God’s commands are ignored, greed and corruption produce (Isa. 5:18-23) and invite God’s wrath and destruction (Isa. 5:24-30), yet time still remains to repent (Rev. 3:3).
By bearing spiritual fruit (Isa. 5:1-7) and resisting the temptation of material greed (Isa 5:8-12), we demonstrate trust in our holy and righteous God (Isa 5:13-16).   Scripture Reading: CSB: Isa 5:13-16 13 Therefore my people will go into exilebecause they lack knowledge;her dignitaries are starving, and her masses are parched with thirst.14 Therefore Sheol enlarges its throatand opens wide its enormous jaws, and down go Zion’s dignitaries, her masses, her crowds, and those who celebrate in her!15 Humanity is brought low, each person is humbled, and haughty eyes are humbled.16 But the Lord of Armies is exalted by his justice, and the holy God demonstrates his holiness through his righteousness.
Prophecies of Jerusalem’s future glory are a call to walk in God’s light and repent (2:1-4 and 4:2-6) in view of the cleansing fellowship God has provided in Jesus and the Spirit (Rev. 21:1-8).
God’s jealous wrath comes upon spiritual leaders who fail to use their position for the common good (Isa 3:1-15) and ladies who cannot see beyond the mirror (Isa 3:16-26).
Since God is jealous to deliver His people, He opposes anything that competes for our ultimate allegiance (Isa 2:12-17), things that will be recognized as of man alone (Isa 2:18-22).
We express our confidence in the exaltation of God's kingdom on earth (Isa. 2:1-5) by turning fromthe exaltation of eartlhy idols and power (Isa. 2:6-11).
Because God's grace covers our sins and shows itself in good works (Isa. 1:16-23), He promises to redeem the humble and punish the wicked (Isa. 1:24-31).
If God would formally indict His children for turning from Him (Isa. 1:2-4), punishing rebellion while jealously preserving a remnant (Isa. 1:5-9), then religious bartering would be of no use (Isa. 1:10-15).
God is against human pride and self-reliance (Isaiah 29), but for the salvation of the humble (Isaiah 43), because He is jealous for glory (Isaiah 48).

Join us as the teachers this Fellowship season (Fall 2025) update us on highlights of classes so far and give us direction as we prepare for the second half.
John wants to make sure we know the power of the Spirit in us (1 John 5:18), the difference between the church and the world (1 John 5:19), and the consequences of God’s revelation in Jesus (1 John 5:20-21).
Since God has testified that Jesus Christ is His Son, the only savior of the world (1 John 5:6-10), we who believe this testimony are assured of eternal life by trusting in Jesus for salvation (1 John 5:11-13), and have confidence when we pray (1 John 5:14-17).
Because God has shown His love for us in Jesus, true believers will always walk in love (1 John 4:7-19), just as He has commanded those who have been born of Him (1 John 4:20-5:4).
