Silva Neves is a world-renowned psychosexual therapist from London. This episode we dive into the misconceptions of porn addiction. As Silva explains, frequency of viewing porn provides zero indication if porn is the problem. So why are so many people self diagnosing themselves as porn addicts? Hear what Silva describes a tsunami sex negative messages and the stories that provoke fear and shame. Another common issue we discuss is when one person in a relationship is anti porn and the other person enjoys it, what's next? Solo sex is part of an individuals sex life, how to integrate that into a couple dynamic is the trick, especially because people don't usually discuss their porn values early on in dating.I asked Silva what the science says- and it will surprise you! Science did not find causation but it did find correlation. Listen in to hear how that ties into misogyny. What about porn for education? Silva sheds light on how helpful it could be for the queer community, as sexually is often depicted in the media as heteronormative. The porn debate could still be up in the air for you, this episode will get you thinking about it in a different light.Host: Lauren Muratore Content www.laurenmuratore.comClinic  www.integratedsextherapy.com.auGuest: Silva Neves https://silvaneves.co.uk/https://www.instagram.com/silvanevespsychotherapy/—————————Join my sex positive socials:Youtube: @Lauren.MuratoreInstagram: @integrated.sxtherapyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IntegratedSexRelationshipTherapy/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-muratore-632473191/TikTok: @sextherapy_w.laurenm————————Get in touch:Questions- askasexologist@laurenmuratore.comPotential Client- admin@integratedsextherapy.com.auPress & Media- contact@laurenmuratore.com Get full access to Lauren Muratore at laurenmuratore.substack.com/subscribe

She shares how healing her hypnotherapy session was after a single session.Jessie discusses how chronic trauma can make someone feel stuck. That the trauma is programmed into the subconscious and bypasses the conscious mind (critical faculty). Hypnotherapy can get to the subconscious, and help the mind see things from a new perspective.  It can help the nervous system & how we relate to our experiences.Who should seek hypno? It’s no secret communication helps achieve better sex.  In this episode Anabel Reddaway chats with me about the research she conducted that confirms BDSM participants report higher sexual satisfaction than the general public.  Annabel deep dives into the concept that women are actively consenting and seeking what they want in the BDSM world.  It’s a space safe to talk.  She also explains the 4Cs, RACK, and how participants report a sense of being free.  We also look at how if you exercise your agency, female subs have the most control because they can tell the dom to stop at any stage with a safe word.  Not all humans feels safe to say stop in the non BDSM world.  Get some tips from the research Annabel found.Host: Lauren Muratore Content www.laurenmuratore.comClinic  www.integratedsextherapy.com.auGuest: Anabel Reddaway | http://coequalcoaching.co.uk/Anabel's Paper: https://journalofpositivesexuality.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/10.51681.1.1012_Directness-of-Communication-Mediates-Sexual-Satisfaction_Carty-Davidson.pdf—————————Join my sex positive socials:Youtube: @Lauren.MuratoreInstagram: @integrated.sxtherapyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IntegratedSexRelationshipTherapy/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-muratore-632473191/TikTok: @sextherapy_w.laurenm————————Get in touch:Questions- askasexologist@laurenmuratore.comPotential Client- admin@integratedsextherapy.com.auPress & Media- contact@laurenmuratore.com Get full access to Lauren Muratore at laurenmuratore.substack.com/subscribe

It was only in 1988 the clitoris was mapped.  Science still has yet to figure out female anatomy.  Luckily, I was able to speak with Anita Brown-Major, who is member of the international Cliterati Committee and director of Thrive Rehab, and discuss female anatomy in depth!  Would you believe there is still little research about women bodies?  April 2024 Anita did a pubmed search to find 50k+ articles related to male genitalia, compared to only 2000 articles that mentioned the clitoris.  She poignantly says nature likes diversity and people don’t- and how this relates to the vulva- and how we are all so different.  We also discuss non concordant touch and what happens to the body when it is touched, how context is important, and how that also relates to consent and unwarranted sexual touch.Host: Lauren Muratore Content www.laurenmuratore.comClinic  www.integratedsextherapy.com.auGuest: Anita Brown-Major | https://www.thriverehab.com.au—————————Join my sex positive socials:Youtube: @Lauren.MuratoreInstagram: @integrated.sxtherapyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IntegratedSexRelationshipTherapy/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-muratore-632473191/TikTok: @sextherapy_w.laurenm————————Get in touch:Questions- askasexologist@laurenmuratore.comPotential Client- admin@integratedsextherapy.com.auPress & Media- contact@laurenmuratore.com Get full access to Lauren Muratore at laurenmuratore.substack.com/subscribe
This episode kicks off Season 3 with sexual fantasy guru Artemisia de Vine.  First she explains what sexual fantasies are. Artemisia then discusses that it is typical for an ego to resist states of consciousness. That the ego wants to protect us from being vulnerable.  Yet the best sex is when we loose ourself and our ego in the moment.  Artemisia’s method explains a radical way to look at taking the shame out of fantasies, and that paradoxically a fantasy is providing us a poison and an antidote to help this.  “You can trust your desire, it will lead you to your higher self”, says Artemisia, so buckle up and unpack how to loose yourself for better sex.Host: Lauren Muratore Content www.laurenmuratore.comClinic  www.integratedsextherapy.com.auGuest: Artemisia de Vine | https://www.artemisiadevine.com/Sexual-Fantasy-Coaching-and-Courses—————————Join my sex positive socials:Youtube: @Lauren.MuratoreInstagram: @integrated.sxtherapyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IntegratedSexRelationshipTherapy/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-muratore-632473191/TikTok: @sextherapy_w.laurenm————————Get in touch:Questions- askasexologist@laurenmuratore.comPotential Client- admin@integratedsextherapy.com.auPress & Media- contact@laurenmuratore.com---------Artemisia's Episode Notes:The CelebSwoon Technique (free mini course) MyFantasyIs.comMonthly Masterclasses in The deVineryhttps://www.artemisiadevine.com/Sexual-Fantasy-Coaching-and-CoursesCertification in The deVinery Methodhttps://www.artemisiadevine.com/Sexual-Fantasy-Coaching-and-Courses Substack (free): https://artemisiadevine.substack.com/ Get full access to Lauren Muratore at laurenmuratore.substack.com/subscribe

We don’t often think about sexuality long term and what it looks like.  Dr. Linda Kirkman speaks about her PhD thesis on regional 50-60 year olds with a friends with benefits dynamics and also dispels conservative assumptions with evidence.  A key takeaway Linda speaks about is the concept of intimacy with independence and how later in life people can find out who they are and gain more authenticity, which increases the claiming of sexuality.  Linda also shared some valuable information from the the work of Magnificent Sex: Lessons from Extraordinary Lovers by Peggy Kleinplatz and Dana Menard which is relevant to humans of all ages.  Not to mention some tips from the work of senior sex guru Joan Price.   Host: Lauren Muratore | www.integratedsextherapy.com.auGuest: Dr. Linda Kirman: https://lindakirkman.org/——————————————————————Join my sex positive socials:Instagram: @integrated.sxtherapyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IntegratedSexRelationshipTherapy/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-muratore-632473191/TikTok: @sextherapy_w.laurenm Get full access to Lauren Muratore at laurenmuratore.substack.com/subscribe
